I was just wondering how much rope we would given our last coach after yet another game with so many penalities and turnovers. We called for (including me) Fiedler and Feely's head for interceptions and poor decisions and we criticized (and eventually ran out of town) Wannz for poor preparation.
But, in the end, it was always about execution for the players.
While I am not a Wannstedt, Fiedler or Feely apoligist, I say that we must be fair. Equal blame must befall our beloved coach after another game with so many penalties. Most penalties committed are mental mistakes.
And yet, there is only so much a coach can do to prepare his team.

I also know that predicatabilty was a factor for the old coach and this is only one game, but let's be fair. Alright now, let me have it. :D

Well, to be fair the penalties and undisciplined play are nothing new. This has plague Miami ever since Shula retired. Unfortunately it seems to have gotten worse under Saban but I don’t think it’s for lack of effort on his part. Perhaps players are more on edge because Saban is more demanding and they are afraid they will lose their jobs.

Certainly Saban isn’t beyond criticism but I think we need to give him some time to deal with the penalties. I don’t think it’s just an issue of threatening players with benching or fines.

I'm amazed this thread was created. Most Dolphin fans here seem to think Saban can do no wrong

I am not calling for his head. All I'm saying is that he has a long road ahead of him.
