Acho at it again.

Hopefully he can use this pocket presence to great effect against the Niners. They have beat up some mediocre QBs lately - aging Stafford, Colt McCoy, Andy Dalton (and throw in Herbert without Keenan Allen and Mike Williams).

So, sure, this is going to be a test for the Dolphins. Maybe a massive test with Armstead missing. But let’s not pretend that this isn’t going to be a major test for the Niners. The last time they faced a great QB, they gave up 44 points (Mahomes).

You thought you needed to post that here?

Your brain didn’t stop you from hitting post?

See how the guy before you posted actual insight?
Watching that video and the OTs on that play, that popped into my head and I posted it. Thought this was a forum to post Dolphins thoughts and questions and such. Guess I was wrong.

Another observation of Tua’s growth is his willingness to play less hero ball and live for the next play. There were several times yesterday when he (a) threw the ball away, or (b) took the sack without trying to make an off-balance throw while being taken down, that kept the drive alive or didn’t create a turnover.

People on this forum seem to think we have no shot against the 9ers without our starting LT, but let's see what coach can draw up to help compensate (e.g. TE/RB/FB chipping, effective running plays, quick pass plays, etc.) before we give up on this gritty team of ours. Also, I think our defense can get after Jimmy G, who doesn't do well under duress. We have a good chance to come out on top this coming game, IMO. Their offensive weapons are frightening, but it all starts with the QB. How bout a 23-17 Miami victory football gods, whatcha think?

It is but you had to know that thought should’ve stayed in your head.

I will have to assume that McD can come up with some slight changes to help make up for the loss of Armstead (if he’s out).

The sad thing is that it might take away some of the strong points of our scheme. For instance, I doubt we’ll see play action where Tua turns his back to the defense if Armstead is out. It also might limit some of our motion if Ingold and Smythe are needed as extra blockers.

Still, the Niners are going to have to deal with our weapons, regardless. And they haven’t faced weapons like ours in weeks.

Agreed. But even if the offense is limited somewhat, Miami still has a good chance to be effective enough to outscore the 9ers. Will be relying on the defense to have a nice complete game, they have it in them.
