Adam Gase Certainly Doen't Lack For Confidence.......

I know there are a lot who dislike Gase for his arrogance, but I have always felt that athletes have to have a little arrogance to be successful. Going in unsure if you can win, or if you can be successful sets up a mindset to lose. I want the head coach to think that I have better players and I can out coach this ****er.

Marino was/is the most arrogant SOB on the planet. Worked pretty well for him.
 
Football is finally cranking back up and I'm really looking forward to seeing the Dolphins compete. I think Gase made some additions that will really help the team get over the hump late in early and late in games.

How can people dislike him for that is beyond me. That is precisely the reason I like him. Especially after we had to deal with Philbin for years before that.
 
Hoping for the best. You win the games out on the field so it'll come down to execution.
 
If want to win you have to be a little arrogant, make the competition think of themselves as competing for second place. Thats how winning works in sports you have to believe your the best to become the best. Being arrogant doesn't mean I support buttheads tactics just pure confidence filled with tunnel vision.
 
Limit the ****ing penalites and we have a legit shot for playoffs this year.

Cam Cameron was also arrogant.
Cam Cameron also thought he was the smartest guy in the room when speaking to the media.
Cam Cameron was also apparently a QB whisperer.
Cam Cameron also said he was just showing a heaping scoop of vanilla during the preseason.

Arrogance isn't the problem. It's the arrogance in the absence of winning.

Allegedly this off-season went exactly how Gase wanted, so i expect the season to reap a plunder of accomplishments.

Well, Gase has won. 2016 did happen.
 
the season is a marathon, not a sprint. lets keep OUR confidence even if we start 1-3

this doesn't apply to those losing their **** in preseason, we know your mettle

if we go 0-4 then I will just shut up and start thinking about the future
 
Either Gase has a lotta peeps bamboozled or the dude is a legit coach.

I hope he is. But unlike some here -- I don't believe that has been definitely proven.

You know the rule -- it's NOT legit until you back it up. So 2016 and 17 basically cancel out.

That means Gase has a LOT to prove this season. IMO.

And as far as "arrogance," it's not different than bragging as long as you can back it up.

I hope he's arrogant. And I hope he's capable of DEMANDING excellence on the field.

And I hope he's at least a tad ruthless. We're talking about the pinnacle of pro sports in America Inc.

So he better be sharp like a razor. And use that "edge" to cut when necessary.
