It's Only Happened ONCE!
Miami’s Jarvis Landry sees himself as the best receiver in the NFL, and he’s certainly the best receiver on the Dolphins. But he had a quiet game on Sunday, with just three catches for 33 yards.
That’s not Landry’s fault, says Dolphins coach Adam Gase. Instead, Gase puts it on himself.
“I did a bad job yesterday,” Gase said on Monday when asked why Landry didn’t get the ball more on Sunday.
“We got in a couple of situations, they play some different personnel groupings. He’s so valuable to us in the slot. Then when we lost Kenny [Stills] and DeVante [Parker] kind of was struggling a little bit, as far as couldn’t really open up the way he had done during the week. I have to find a way to get [Landry] the ball.”
Gase says the problem wasn’t that Ryan Tannehill wasn’t getting the ball to Landry, but that Gase himself wasn’t calling the right plays for Tannehill to get the ball to Landry.
