The changes were sparked in part by the team’s effort, of lack thereof, during a 24-16 loss to the Bills.

“That game at Buffalo just seemed like a 20-hour game,” coach Adam Gase recently said on The Joe Rose Show, via the Palm Beach Post. “I was just waiting for us to turn the corner and really get going and nothing was working for us. There was no swagger, no attitude, and it was disappointing to see. It wasn’t everybody. You turn on that tape, there are guys that stand out noticeably as far as their effort and their play that was extremely high, and they were giving everything they had. We just did not have enough guys doing that. That’s why we felt like we needed to change some things around.”

Well when you start Cutler one series and then go with Fales, what do you expect?

Not only that, I think a lot of the team viewed it as a lost season after Tannehill went down, the same way many of us fans did. Whether you (or Gase) want those kinds of players on your team or not is another question, but many of our very talented players were coasting in 2017.

As Kurt Russell (Herb Brooks) said in ‘Miracle’. “I’m not looking for the best players, I’m looking for the right players”
Worked well for Shula and works for B.B.
Team chemistry and good coaching usually beat out talent most of the time, as football is a team sport.
I have no idea how this season will turn out. It all hinges on Gase and RT.

Growing experience for Gase. Still hard to say that Landry wasn't giving his all if that was the implication.

Wonder how this will affect the draft and the type of player Miami brings in. The team definitely lacks elite talent.

it doesn't matter at this point who's gone. What matters is who's here and who we get on draft week. Time will tell if the team made the right moves or not

They were/are players on this team making fat change and underperforming, believe me next year the purge will continue.

So he made decisions based off one game?
At the time the Team was coming off a MNF game where they beat up the Pats and improved to 6-7. If they won the final 3 games, they maybe get the wild card at 9-7. They played disgustingly flat after that win vs NE.

Some of these replies here are absolutely comical.

I'm sure Gase would've loved to snag Aaron Rodgers once THill went down in TC.

And I'm equally sure that he made up his mind on the whole season based off of just the Bills game.

Smh. What's that saying about common sense?
