Adam Gase will be on with Joe Rose at 7

Summary
- He said hello :d-day:
- picked Miami because he liked Ross, Mike McCoy told him he liked the Dolphins.
- Had never met Chris Grier before, knew Tannenbaum
- Offensive part of the interview went quickly, spent more time talking about how he would run the D
- Feels good about Tannehill, thinks new Offensive staff will help. Wants to cut down sacks and hits.
- Wanted a mixed offense, confirms will change by week.
- Not done a lot of tape yet, busy building his staff
-Important to do better in 4th Q
- Getting Vance Joseph away from Jackson was tough - Hue was only 4 offices down.
- Confirms he will be involved in O.
- Terminology of Offense will be very close to what Indy uses
- Team approached him about control over 53, players look at it different when they know HC has control of the 53
- Met Shula for 2 and a half hours in Shulas house, was told to make sure he did things his way from day 1.
- Will give all players a fresh start, first guy he saw in the building was Dan Campbell who told him "you have no turds on this team, they are good guys." Will make his own evalutations

Also said he basically got Clyde because he can set up his offense the way he wants it because it's Indys offense. So expect a lot of shotgun. Said a few times that he's calling the plays and designing the game plan.

Thanks for the heads up UK

If its Indy's offense, I hope we run it better than Indy does, Belichick shuts it down.

Indys offensive terminology, not the offense

i agree it would be a shame to have him watch the tape with his eyes closed

New Dolphins coach Gase calls Tannehill’s struggles ‘a hiccup’

When Adam Gase was introduced as Dolphins coach less than two weeks ago, he had barely watched film of Ryan Tannehill.

And while Gase is spending most of his time putting together a staff, he now has a better grasp of his new quarterback.

“I feel pretty good about what we can do with him,” Gase said on the Joe Rose Show, 560-WQAM. “I feel like we can help him.

“It was going upward from the time he started. I know last year was a hiccup and I know he was disappointed in last year and obviously every Dolphin fan was frustrated with the situation that occurred. We feel really good with the staff we’re putting together, how we’re going to build this thing offensively. I feel like we can help with the sacks, we can eliminate some of these hits he’s taken. That’s going to be key.”

Gase isn’t coming to Miami with plans of being pass or run-heavy coach. He wants to switch it up depending on the opponent. It’s something he learned from Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, who was Denver’s head coach when Gase was the Broncos quarterbacks coach.

“I like to mix it up,” he said. “I like to be a little more of a variety. We’ll look a little different every week.

“A lot of the things I’ve learned was from Josh McDaniels when I was in Denver. That’s when we started creating a little bit of fluid style of game planning where one week it might look like we’re based out of the ‘50s and one week we might be spread out throwing the ball all over the place.

“We’re going to create this thing and build it to where guys are comfortable moving in and out of certain personnel groups, certain formations and whatever’s best to win that week, that’s what we want to do.”

For some reason I can't shake the image of an old Russian General and a Russian Head of State from that image

"Mother Miami will rule the NFL once again"

I'm hearing some good things coming from Gase. I really like the idea that we will mix up our offense each week depending on what teams we are playing. That sounds so wonderful that it might be more difficult for other teams to game plan against us.
