Adam Schedter Just Reported On NFL Network...

Adam Schefter from Hawaii just reported on NFL Network that Chris Long would be the most secure option to take within the #1 overall pick, he said that with 35 mil in guaranteed money, you just want to take an impact player and that Chris Long is the most accurate decision.

I wouldn't be bothered if we get him, but I'd rather take Dorsey, trade down for Ghoulston or trade our 1st for Dallas' both firsts, 2nd, next years' second and third, plus take either Barber or Ware from them...

Well, he didn't said the word "accurate", but what he meant is that Long would be the most secure option to take within the 1st.
 
I think i'd rather go with an offensive player, be it a linemen, or a QB, or even McFadden in that very unlikely event. To me the most SECURE option is trading down, because the clear cut number one guy just isn't there, and this team has plenty of holes that need filling.
 
I have wanted C Long from the beginning. That is of course if we kept the #1 overall pick. I wouldn't mind Dorsey either, but prefer Long.
 
Chris long all the way, we can get a NT in free agency.

Last I checked other than JT we lacked a playmaker on D.

so if a clear cut number 1 is not there (which i agree) why would anybody trade up to that spot??? Chris Long is right there for the taking we should go for it
 
Why are we supporting spending the #1 pick in the draft on a 3-4 end? I understand that Chris Long is a play maker but that position in the 3-4 is more about being a space eater and taking on blocks so the linebackers can make plays. That seems like a waste of Long's talent and I don't think he fits this defense because of that.
Can't we FINALLY take a real quarterback?
