Adam Schefter favors Miami to take East on NFL Network

Suddenly ESPN, NFL Net, Peter King and every other writer/media-outlet in the country is picking us to win the division.

Does this worry anybody else?

No. What they say has no bearing on the games at all. It is about time they recognized though.

If we were saying it yes, but I am 100 percent positive the players listen to these guys and if they havent heard it, they will by tuesday morning. I kind of think of it like last year when the whole world told the giants they CANNOT win :lol:

This kind of thing CAN get into a teams head

Amen. No idea why people keep getting scared now that we're no longer under the radar. It makes no difference. Quite frankly, I'd rather not be under the radar, because that means we're actually doing something.

And the Giants did win, thus proving the point that it has no bearing at all. The players will listen more to the coach than what ESPN has to say. And Sparano knows to keep this team from getting ahead of themselves.
 
Yeah but there's two sides to that coin guys. Everybody picked the Patriots to win the Super Bowl and the Patriots lost.....Maybe being such heavy favorites got to their heads a little? I don't want that happening to our guys. I'd rather be the under dog nobody thinks has a chance, that way we feel the need to keep fighting, to keep proving. I dont know.

We are going to slpit on this one. No matter how much a coach tells you something when the media touts you as "the man" it will sooner or later sink in.

As for the giants its for that VERY reason the giants DID win. It was the giants against the world. I would bet money that every day the entire front office posted and repeated everything the media said about the giants and how little chance they had against the patriots.

The players care and LISTEN to what the media reports.
 
But why did the Patriots think that way? Do you think 3 Super Bowl Victories, an 18-0 record and AFC domination the last 3/4 of a decade got in their head a little as well....? just sayin....
 
yeah, and out of all the people scheftler spoke with the most enthusiasm, people are really impressed with just how we win games, we complain we dont shut out people like last years patriots, but we're 8-5, and Jets are inconsistant, and patriots play close games like we do. Hell, we could lose to SF, they're looking much better, it's HUGE that Frank Gore will sit in his return to Miami. KC isn't great, but they have the potential to win, i think they'll play for draft picks though..

Well put. It could go either way. I trust Sparano enough to not let this get to our players heads though.
 
It was only Schefter picking the Dolphins. Terrible Davis and Mora picked the Patriots to win the division. Davis, and this part is becoming obvious, said no other team will come out of the East.
 
i think you all are looking to much into this.. could it really be the giants beat the pats in the last few seconds because they were thinking "nobody picked us to win".. i mean yeah it pumps u up a lil before a game.. i know i played football.. but its not something that carries throughout the entire game.. its really not that big of a deal.. its only a prob when a team looks at it to much and gets their heads in the clouds thinkin they are the shiz.. thats when u blow it
 
Everytime Adams says something it happens, so im super glad he picked us.
