is it just me but when u watch lance long an knowing he wont be a starter, hes quite good, does anyone else think he would be a good fit in miami?

then i see brandon marshall a big reciever whos pyshical that we dont have quite yet that would be to good use

We're set at WR, there won't be any additions there. If a big DT or a solid MLB then maybe we pick em up or even a backup OLman. I really don't see this FO looking to bring in anyone who will make a difference in anything but the bottom of the roster.

I do not see any big impact signings, but I do see us solidifying depth. If we sign any guys this preseason, he will not be a starter. I can see us adding a quality depth guy on the OL, preferrably at the RG spot or T position. We are extremely thin at that spot.

That's funny. Think about it: after the season, that was one of our biggest question marks. Now we seem to be fine at the position. Unless, of course, you ask one of the "experts".

Brandon Marshall is great, no question.....but who wants that kind of lack of the right attitude, loyalty, and profesionalism in your team? No thanx

The same "experts" that had us finishing 5-11 in last place in the division last year?? Yeah lets listen to them rather than the FO who won the division last year and have won every where they have been.

we do not want brandon marshall he was in the restruant with javon walker and and the late darrent williams and he started the crap with the gang memeberds by flasing the rivial gang''s colors so he is reponsible for Darrent 's death in my eyes.

so I would take chambers back in jiffy before i would take marshall

I think saying we're 'set' at WR is a bit of an overstatement.
Well lets wait and see. I say there is a better chance of another team picking up one of the players we cut at WR than there is a chance of us picking up someone elses WR that are cut.

You may disagree with the concept of us being "set" but tell me why. The way I see it is this FO builds through the draft and only brings in role players that help for depth, and only then if we get a great deal.

I mean, yeah I agree if the cards cut Boldin and he wants to come here for less than what he was making in zona, then yes I agree we would pick him up, but it is very rare for us to fall backwards into situations like the Pennington situation last year.

Parcells wins with interchangeable WRs not superstars. I really believe in the minds of Irlend and Parcells we are where we want to be at the WR position. I mean who would we get rid of to make room for someone else?? A draft pick?? Bess, Ginn, or Cam?? Ginn is the only one I can see getting traded, and even that would have to be a sweetheart deal for us.

I disagree with "set" being a overstatement reguarding our WRs. "Set" is exactly how I would describe it. Not because it is the best in the league but because we aren't going to overpay for anything that is out there and because we are on track of becoming what we want at the position.

I will put it this way. If you ask the FO to put in order the areas they are most interested at upgrading before the season starts and I would bet WR isn't in the top five.

I think this is an issue of semantics, and I agree with most of your points. To me, not many team are 'set' at any position. The Colts are set at QB, and, if Brady's healthy, the Patriots are as well. The Steelers are set at starting OLB.

I think we're far from the best at WR - though I like our group a good deal. Until we have little-to-no room for improvement, it's difficult for me to say we're set. If, though, by set you mean it's not realistic that we'll improve by signing someone before this season starts, I agree.

I don't really think they will make to many big splashes. The FO really likes to build with the team chemistry and the will not get anyone who will push for any real playing time. At most you might see someone brought in as a space filler...

Exactly what I was saying. "Set" meaning very little chance that we make any moves before the season starts.

If "set" means the FO isn't looking to upgrade, then this FO has already said that will never happen. They are ALWAYS looking to upgrade at every position. But IMO WR is one of the least of their worries.

exactly. all five Dolphins WRs will cost half of a guy like Boldin. Parcells puts his money into the big uglies.

we need 2 big run you over guards.1 stud mlb.1 elite wr.smart qb with a big arm.

hmm i think lance long would be a great guy to pick up for depth an im sure we can use him in any of the WR spots, what does everyone think about maybe thinking about picking up a young NT to help out Jason ?
