Guys, I realize that I'm a reletive newcomer to this site, atleast as a registered member, but I would like you to concider an idea that might make some of us more willing to post and trade ideas in these forums.

Please take one or two threads that reaccur consistantly over a short time phrame in the general forum, and create a forum section for them; where they can be replaced at a later time with a more relavent topic. Perhaps naming it "popular current threads" or "related thread ideas" or whatever strikes you most quaint.

Examples for such threads in our current time phrame might be "beck/henne" or "recently released/avail. players youd like to see in miami" The repetative nature of these threads and there subsequent posts/arguements are not only draining but also extreamely time and space consuming. By the time I've read/looked through the forum for an original idea I've lost most of my enthusiasm to make one of my own...

In order to not be redundant or hypocritical in my own right I will be reposting this in the apropriate admin section, I just wanted to see if there might be a few members who might like the concept listed above.

I like to see you thinking. Thats a plus. New ideas are always great. If people dont come up with new ideas then nothing ever improves. Which is why its good that people suggest new ideas even if they arent really good ones.

My problem is this.............if we talk all the hot topics off the main board and move them into a "popular current threads" section or something of that sorts............then what would the main board be?? "Threads less posters give a **** about"?

You see we already have a "popular current threads" forum..........its called the main board. But, thats just MHO. Besides, the admins and mods do a pretty nice job of merging threads when necessary.

But, again, at least youre thinking of new ideas.

You see the problem is that when I get on here and see the same thread, and arguements 15 times then I no longer care about that thread. I'm not saying that I want all the "hot topics" (as your referring to them) off the main site, simply take one or two of the more repetative ones, the ones that everyone has read and regurgitated the same material, and put them in an area where they can continue to be read and regurgitated to the members content. Much like the fact that I happen to have read your thoughts on beck atleast 12 times and don't need it flogged into my mind anymore. How many times must I read that the same 12 people dislike a player? It's not that we shouldn't cover the issue, just when it has been covered too much, give it it's apprpriate space. Think news coverage that makes you want to drop your cable subscription (ie.. hurricanes, moinca lewinske, anna nicole smith ect...)

This option is really more viable for offseason use, as there will much more areas to cover as the physical season progresses

Yes, it sounds great, like my Statistics Class in College. Let's do it.

Of course, this thread should have been started in the Suggestions folder..........

but then you wouldn't have seen it eh?

I just click on new posts when i log in and viola, there they are.

Not too hard really. No harder than posting in the proper forum

Actually I did post this in the "questions suggestion forum," at the same time of placing it here. If you read the initial post at the top it is written fairly plan. Voila, its really no harder than reading the post.

Guys the forums do this themselves. If they are irrelevant and no one cares, then there won't be posts and it will fall off the screen. It only moves back up if people make posts or comments. If people are maikign comments and posting then they are entitled to theit say and space too. You see what I mean?

The forum is an open community and as long as a topic has interest, then it deserves space.
