The Miami Dolphins defense dominated Tom Brady and the Patriots’ passing attack in the intermediate and deep portions of the field on Monday night. In all, Tom Brady was just 3-12 for 87 yards, two interceptions, and a passer rating of 17.7 on passes of 10-plus yards in Week 14.
Those are some staggering numbers for one of the game’s best deep passers. So how did the Dolphins do it?

After a few quarters you could tell Brady was just flinging it downfield in hopes of drawing a P.I. Flag. Really impressed with the secondary’s performance the last two weeks. They could be an elite group if we can land a good FS in the offseason.

The front 4 actually ****ing tried!!

This isn't some ****ing anomaly by any means. We rushed/blitzed brady maybe more on Monday night then any team he's seen this entire season. Compare their wins vs the few teams that have actually beat them, I promise you you'll see Brady sitting back in the pocket for more then 3 seconds, just waiting for anyone to be open. Stop pretending like the elite qb's are scared of cover 2 or cover 3 layouts. They aren't! They prefer it because they can just sit back and wait! Jesus ****.

We ****ing destroyed their front line. All of you in the forums say it all the time. It starts with the FRONTS of both sides. Cutler got plays off because he had plenty of time to sit in a comfortable pocket. Very little of us like Cutler, but look what happens when a QB that is our starter, which we don't want coming back, can do with TIME in the pocket. It's not a god damn mystery dudes, pressure brees, pressure rodgers, pressure Peyton, Pressure Brady. . that is what happens.

My hats off to our defensive front 4 for doing what a lot of teams are scared to do, go after the ****ing QB!!

(EDIT: I'm so happy for Howard getting 2 off the legend, but please, those passes were so poor because of the pressure!)

Do you really need replace McDonald at free safety? So far the secondry has looked damn good with him and Jones playing together. I might considering adding a depth project free safety, but I'm not sure we need to be looking for a starter there for at least two or three years. Add a veteran corner to go with Howard, Tankersly, Lippett, McCain and Verner and the secondary is in decent shape.

Yeah we stopped the run - dead.

How about Jordan Phillips? Dude looked possessed!

And Suh played BEAST!

Charles Harris created some pressures - failed to finish though on one play at the end - that's an experience mistake - hopefully he will learn to focus on finishing the tackle not simply reaching for Brady.

Yeah the defensive line won the game and the secondary played F U ball to - aggressive and ALL out!

We were able to stop those quick passing routes that turn into 10 and 15 yard gains as well. We still had no answer for the Patriots screen pass however, that's something the Phins need to work on.

said it in a different thread but they should always play press d, forget the zone

Every secondary will play much better when the front 4 does it's job. It all starts right there but really the whole defense played well and we were not missing tackles for the most part

Ozzy rules!!

the front 4 got pressure, we played man instead of zone and Kiko and the linebackers shut down between the numbers. Was a very balanced attack. Playing with the lead is so important for our defense.

That's always been the key to beating Brady...Pretty much hit his A#@ every time.

What a difference 2 weeks make. In New England, Miami looked completely lost on defense.
Matt Moore is very easy to scheme against. He is tougher to play against it you put him in mid game, way to many 3 and outs and missed assignments on offense and defense.
