Looking at the Pats this pre-season - they look really ready to play.

I know, most of you will say the pre-season doesn't matter. And there is a point that game outcomes aren't always a predictor. But, I think the quality of play can show a team's readiness. In 1999 the Rams were killing everyone in the pre-season and they dominated the entire year. And if you look at other teams in years past whose starters look really strong throughout the pre-season - they generally perform well.

I think we'll do well but I think it will be a slow start like last year. The main reason is the running game is slow to come around b/c the OL is struggling in that area - I wish Toledo had really become a player and beaten Anderson out.

My Prediction for the East (based on no major injuries to key players):

Patriots 12-4
Dolphins 10-6 (Tossup between this and 11-5, imo. Will be a wild-card)
Jets 8-8
Bills 7-9

I think Da Fins is smoking crack. 10-6 for our beloved fins??!!!!!
As for pre-season record, ummmmm, the Colts were 0-4 last year in pre-season and went on to go 13-0 and finish 14-2.
The AFC East standings will be as follows:

Miami 15-1 (we win SB)
Evil Pats 10-6 (lose in 2nd rd of playoffs, to US!)
Bills 6-10 (aimless)
Jets 3-13 (just absolutely clueless. They are going to be terrible)

15-1???!?!?? Hahahaha.

I'm sorry, but I too think it's a toss up between 10-6 and 11-5. 9-7 isn't unreasonable by any means, I think we will improve our record from last year is all.

As much as I would love for us to 15-1, I think it's very unreasonable that we would do so. With a suspect secondary and offensive line, I think we will win 10-11 games as well.

We can only hope that NE faulters along the way.

I see us at 10-6 and Pats at 9-7 due to injuries in their defense and loss of key WR. Just feel Pats are due for a tough year. No way they win more than 10 games IMHO.

I believe we will pull of the afc east title as follows:

Miami : 11-5
New England : 9-7
Buffalo : 6-10
New York : 4-12

15-1 :shakeno:

One team in the entire history of the AFC has gone 15-1, so I cannot see us doing that. And that was Pittsburgh 2 years ago. I would rather do what they did last year, peak at the right time. I think that it will take some time for our team to come together. Tough games against Chicago, KC, Jacksonville, Indianapolis, and play the Patriots twice, I think that 11-5 would be quite an accomplishment. Noone would have ejoyed playing us last year in the playoffs, but you can't make a big splash if you are not allowed to get in the swimming pool. Point being, let's get to the playoffs. Whether it be division winner, or as a wild card.

realistically I see us going 10-6, possibly even 11-5 with our schedule this season. However, it will pretty much be a dog fight down to the end with the Pats for the AFC EAST title, but I think we will manage to pull it off this year...

As for the prediction part, I think it goes as follows.
New England 12-4
Miami 11-5
New York 6-10
Buffalo 4-12

I predict 13-3.

Loss to Pittsburgh (@ Pittsburgh), New England (@ New England), Indianapolis (@ Indianapolis).

Expect near shutouts in every other game. Our deep threat is there now, our passing game is stacked. Hagen will be a breakthrough receiver in seams and Welker is always able to take a hard hit without giving up the ball. Ronnie will have a solid 1200 yard season and Culpepper will probably rush for 200-300 during the season as well.

Pro Bowlers: Ronnie Brown, Culpepper, Chambers, McMichael, Thomas, Taylor, Wilkinson, Crowder, Hadnot

Good year for the dolphins following a superbowl victory in Miami.

I vote for 10-6

Lose to:

Pitts week 1
Titans week 3
Pats week 5
Bye week 8
Jax week 13
Jets week 16
Colts week 17

PS... just kidding about losing week 8
