The AFC East title should be a battle between the New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins. Once a tough, competitive division, the strength of the AFC East has slowly declined over the last few years.

Miami Dolphins

Expectations will be very high in Miami this year, based on the addition of Culpepper. Last year, the Dolphins finished the regular season with a 9-7 record, but had they gotten better production from the QB position, Miami could have easily been a playoff team. Culpepper is coming off a very disappointing season last year in which he suffered a major knee injury and finished with a career-worst QB rating of 72.0. If he can overcome his injury and get back to the confidence level he played with in 2004, the Dolphins can go deep into the playoffs in 2006.

I like what I've read so far from what you posted, but I don't have insider so I can't read the whole thing. :(

Thanks for the summary. I believe that, barring any major injuries to key players, we can get a wild card berth as the very least. This is the first year of a march to an inevitable Super Bowl.

Yeah and unless the Pats just have an awesome year, I think we win the AFC east. 11 wins should be enough to do that unless we allow the Pats to sweep us. I really don't think they can come into Miami late in the season and beat us however.

We have built ourselfs a solid foundation, and I can't wait for this run to begin! Thank you lord for Nick Saban!

Everyone
Sucks
Patriots
Nuts

Is giving credit to us saying we can go deep in the playoffs I like the sounds of that!

yep. we're taking the afce crown and holding on to it. imho we are hosting a playoff game this year. and who knows, maybe even the sb. saban promised last season will the the last time we're playing 16 games. and he'll make good on that promise, just like shaq did.

I remember a lot of people on this board last year writing about how ESPN didn't know jack about the Phins b/c they were trashing the team. Now they have some decent projections for us and the script gets flipped????

Daunte's QBR, last yr, was 72.0. Interesting!

It seems a QBR of 72 has been par for the course for whoever has been under Center for Miami the last 5 years.

Yeah, his lowest rating ever during a injury shortened season was no worse than Frerotte's last year.

Strange aint it?

O well we just can't allow Brady to get into a rythm during Patsie games. Our D-Fense needs to be intense.
