AFC GAME DAY THREAD

New York Jets (4-5) @ New England Patriots (6-3)
The Patriots are coming off a heartbreaking loss from the Colts after a controversial 4th down call. People may think this is will be a blowout, but the Jets want to be a contender. If they go 4-6, their playoff hopes are over. Don't overlook the Jets in this game as they will be hard hitting and it's a huge rivalry, but I'll take the Patriots at home.
*We need the Jets to win for the division battle* :d-day:
Patriots win 31-14

Buffalo Bills (3-6) @ Jacksonville Jaguars (5-4)
Buffalo is coming off a game with a disappointing blowout in the 4th quarter by the Titans. The Jaguars on the other hand, are coming off a huge win on the road against the Jets. Buffalo ranks last in run D, while Maurice-Jones has been running over everybody. I'll take Jax at home.
*We need the Bills to win for Wild card* :ponder:

Indianapolis Colts (9-0) @ Baltimore Ravens (5-4)
The Colts are coming off a huge win over their rival, the New England Patriots. This undefeated team is 6-0 against Baltimore and looks to go 10-0. The Ravens are coming off a lackluster game against the Browns on MNF. I'll take the Colts in a blowout as the Raven's D just isn't the same.
*We need Colts to win for the Wild card* :pop:
Colts win 17-15

Pittsburgh Steelers (6-3) @ Kansas City Chiefs (2-7)
The Steelers are coming off a disappointing loss to their rivals, the Cincinnati Bengals. After being swept, they may have a hangover or they may be hungry. Meanwhile, Kansas City defeated their rivals, the Oakland Raiders, in a lackluster game. Steelers will win easily.
*We need the Chiefs to win for Wild Card* :lol2:
Chiefs win 27-24
San Diego Chargers (6-3) @ Denver Broncos (6-3)
The Chargers are on a roll as they are on a winning streak and look to retake the division. They easily defeated the Philadelphia Eagles. Meanwhile, the Broncos are on a 3 game losing streak, losing to the offensively challenged, Washington Redskins. I'll take the Chargers to win the game and claim first in the division in a close game.
*Doesn't matter at this point, so a tie would be the best scenario* :ponder:
Chargers win 32-3

Cincinatti Bengals (7-2) @ Oakland Raiders (1-8)
The Bengals are coming off a huge win over their rivals, the SB champion Steelers. They are now surging and will easily defeat the lackluster Raiders who are coming off a loss to their rival, Kansas City.
*We need the Raiders to win even though the Bengals have the division won* :chuckle:
Raiders win 20-17

Tennesse Titans (3-6) @ Houston Texans (5-4)
The Titans are coming off a huge win over the Buffalo Bills and are surging after a 0-6 start. The Texans are coming off a bye week and have one of the best offenses in the league, but a terrible D. Expect a shootout on MNF and I think the the Texans win to finally prove that they can make the playoffs.

great write up. i will say that i hope san diego wins today. chris simms is starting, orton is out. denver is on the decline, and if we get in a situation where we are looking to get a wild card, then we need san diego to win the division, because san diego beat us and has the head-to-head victory.

If jets win today, this division is going to get very very very interesting.
 
I wasn't giving the Buf/Jax game much thought.

Now I have to root for the jets & bills in the same weekend? What perverse sense of irony is it that the Dolphins and their fans must align themselves with darker forces in order to achieve something positive?

Damn them both. But I guess I hope they win today.

I think it will be close. The Jets are playing for their season today.
 
Kansas City just got a 97 yard return. The Steeler's TD return streak continues...
 
Colts just scored on the Baltimore Ravens easily. 7-0.
 
i know its the NFC but Eli Manning just threw an interception on his first drive....i hate Eli & the Giants
 
Ravens fumbled the ball on a KR. It's being challenged.

Jacksonville held to a FG in the red zone.

KC forced Pittsburgh to punt and are up 7-0.
 
Ruled not a fumble. Raven's ball.

Cleveland scored a FG on Detroit. Stafford then throws a 63 yard pass.
 
Steelers may have an hangover from the Bengals game.
