What about, say, the Dolphins? Are they an 11-5 AFC East division winner ... or destined to toil in the sub-.500 range?

MIAMI DOLPHINS
Ceiling: 11-5. Ryan Tannehill lights it up like Clubber Lang lit up all those bums in one of Rocky III's 37 montages. Lamar Miller gets enough work to rush for 1,153 yards, but not so much work that he bogs down by season's end. Jarvis Landry catches 90 balls and Ndamukong Suh is at least 90 percent of the player he was last year.

Floor: 6-10. Look, football-related activities would have to really go awry for this team to go 6-10. You get the point. At this stage, the Dolphins have accumulated too much talent to have that kind of year. I see this team splitting with the Patriots, Jets and Bills. But if Tannehill regresses and still can't complete a vertical throw -- if it turns out his struggles in that area weren't all the fault of the offensive line and former receiver Mike Wallace -- then the AFC East cellar is possible.

2015 NFL Award Predictions: MVP, ROTY & More

Dave Dameshek: Joe Philbin, Miami Dolphins - Laugh now, but if Joe's gang can vanquish the division bully, he'll deserve serious consideration.

I don't think there's any way you guys go 6-10 unless you have a million injuries. I would expect you to win btw 9-11

That's a very optimistic floor/clg outlook

Hard to see this team go 6-10. We have far too much talent. Btw how is Suh only 90% of his last year form? We have the best Dlineman in the game in his prime. He can easily have a better year than last year IMO.

Dolphins' respect growing nationally."This is the year of the Dolphins,I think in the AFC East,"Jon Gruden said when I asked him about Fins

Saying if Suh is at least 90% of what he was last year we'll be in good shape. Weird way to word it, don't think his intention was to insinuate Suh will drop off from last year

Ritchie: Dolphins 'could pose a real threat' to Patriots

"I really like what the Miami Dolphins are doing and I think they could pose a real threat," said NBC Sports' Jon Ritchie. "I think they split with the Patriots last season. They have a much improved defense with Ndamukong Suh in the middle. Now you've got Olivier Vernon and Cameron Wake coming off the edges. They can't possibly double team everyone."

Brady suspension overturned, NE is now a lock for the division.

I have picked them every year for the last decade+ so good luck. as long as Brady is playing they are winning.

Good for you, way to go out on a limb there slick.

Brady better watch out, he's going to have defenses extra motivated now. That offensive line of theirs has not look good at all. In a division especially like ours with 3 potential top 10 DLines, they're going to go after him early and often. I don't think they're going to cakewalk the AFC East this year.
