They got all good records but the phins beat three of them, and pretty much smacked them around late in the game

Don't get too caught up in who-beat-who.

We got destroyed by the Browns, and lost to the Bills and Jets.

The Browns gave the Bengals all they could handle. I see no problem with taking a loss there.

Similarly, it seems to me that Miami was a victim of poor timing when it came to both the Jets and Bills. Thems the breaks, though. It's possible San Diego could have been looking ahead and that Miami won so easily there for that reason.

West in the AFC is still the best with 3 playoff teams

They cannot have 3 playoff teams. In fact, it seems to be looking down that they'll even have 2. The Steelers look to have the inside track on that last spot to me (though I'm still pulling for the Dolphins exacta).

True they can't have three playoff teams, but they are the only (except NFC East, I think) division that has three teams that can make the playoffs at this point.

Didn't the Jaguars already clinch?
