After 7 games.....

Im starting to think that we were a good team in 07,but we just had idiots running the team as Cam would say,"falling,faced,first...fast".Cause even though we brought in 1/3 of a new team,2/3 of last years team is still here,so its evident that we had some good players form last season,performing well,such as David Martin(honesty,after seeing him last year,I wondered who in this UNIVERSE was desperate enough to waste a draft pick on him),Patrick Cobbs(Im going to be honest,I really didnt care for him till after his first 2 receiving TD's in one game v.s. HOU this year) and finally the WHOLE secondary....(well,I still dont care for them,but I'll still root for them....for the only reason that their on the Dolphins roster).

And just a little hindsight...Joey Porter did well last year.If you think he did bad,I think its pretty clear now as to whos REALLY responsible....

If Cam Cameron had Chad Pennington last year, Cam would still be the coach.

I always thought we had a good team last year, I think two things did us in early on.

1. Injuries
2. Coaching Staff/FO

If you look at most of our early games of last season they were close losses (I believe 6 within 3pts or less) many were winnable though. If we had better coaching we would have found ways to get wins out of at least a few of those. The injuries were a big one for us, especially losing Zach, Ronnie, and Trent. Then Ricky tried to come in late in the season to save us and goes out. So it was a somewhat cursed year but regardless I do think we were better than it looked on paper, and if we had the coaching we have now, we definitely would have ended the season with more than one fluke victory over a bad team.

I don't think we were a good team at all last year. If we were Parcells and Co. would not have gutted half of the roster!

There's at least partial truth to the statement, considering the Joey Porter comparison of this year and last.

I don't disagree with the fact that Sparano is doing a good job, but I must agree with the previous post. If Cam would have had Chad, he would still be the coach, deserving or not. Chad is a total gift of God. That said, I'll take the Parcells regime any day over last year's.

To be honest i don't think Cam would have even went after Chad. Beck was Cam's man. He probably would have stuck with him. Plus we would not hve Henne either. Cleo was his man too.

Either that or we had not only the worst coach in the league, but more importantly 2 guys starting at QB after Green went down who were the worst 2 starting QBs in the league last year.

As I said all along, horrible QB play goes a LONG WAY towards making everyone else look MUCH WORSE than they actually are.

When you go from Lemon(one of the worst QBs in the league easily) and Beck(by far the worst QB Ive ever seen play in the NFL) to a guy who is better than half of the starters in the league, it makes a world of difference.

Combine that with the upgrade at coaching, the MUCH better Ferguson in the middle of the D instead of the washed up, half assing it Traylor, which makes the run D so much better, and you have made great improvements.

Not to mention shedding that overrated, stat whore, primadona, loser JT and going to a 3-4, emphasizing the skills of a beast like Joey Porter.

And oh yea, we got rid of that washed up guy who played LB who used to be good before he didnt even bother to take the team flight and be on the sidelines because of a headache.

And oh yea, we enhanced the left side of our OL.

But the key and biggest difference is Pennington is light years better than Lemon and Beck.
