After play last night- Gase to Tanny "It's my fault." What do you think?

I was against his hiring... I wanted an experienced, old-school Head Coach. That said, ANYONE is better than Philbin. BUT, if Gase ever puts Thomas, Turner, or Pouncey back in the starting line-up I will start looking forward to the next regime. I've been saying that Philbin's entire o-line needs to be replaced. Gase finally replaces the interior (LG, C, and RG) with three guys playing new positions and already they're better than Thomas, Pouncey, and Turner. I'm tired of hearing how Pouncey is a Pro-Bowl Center; he's garbage. The line's play was improved when Satele replaced Pouncey, and again when Steen replaced him. How much proof does anyone need? If I couldn't trade Pouncey I'd cut him no matter what the cost. He's part of the problem (of poor o-line play) and needs to go.

The reasoning behind your conclusion is illogical.

You actual think Steen is better than Pouncey based on one preseason game against the worse pass rush in the league last year?

Yes. IMO, Steen seems stronger. I never understood the love for Pouncey; he's a gang-banging thug friend of Aaron Hernandez who should have been in prison instead of being in the NFL Draft. When he wore that "Free Hernandez" hat I would have cut him then and there. Why is he still in Miami after Bullygate? The other guys basically came out and said that Pouncey was the team's drug dealer. That said, his play on the field suggests that getting rid of him is the logical thing to do. When he was out before and Satele played Center the line's performance improved. Last night Steen played Center and the pass protection improved tremendously. Pouncey is just like Dallas Thomas; whoever replaces them does a better job, yet Philbin kept starting them anyway. I just hope Gase can see that guys like Pouncey and Thomas are part of the problem, and not part of the solution.

Just like Joe Philbin would do!!!

It's not just a Joe Philbin issue. You go back over the last group of terrible bum coaches we've had, and they've been guys who couldn't form mutual trust with their players and always rushed to blame execution. I think Tony Sparano was a bit of the exception there, but Tony chose his assistants really poorly and wasn't capable of carrying the burden himself.

Dave Wannstedt is a good example, a guy who always wanted to blame the execution despite being out-coached week in and week out, and who basically drove Ricky Williams to quit with the way he treated him

Gase is a great hire! Smart, hard worker and relates to players. His success here will depend on QB play and it may take a couple of years to retool the defense.

Any proof that he's a gangbanger? I don't remember seeing that anywhere.

Gang-banger, thug, same thing. The Pouncey brothers ran with Hernandez in college. All of this was on-line when the Hernandez story was just starting. Hernandez was bad news, and the dumb Pouncey twins were right there with him. They were linked to various criminal activities yet somehow were never punished; which is not surprising when you consider that a lot of college athletic programs are dirty and corrupt and make criminal charges disappear.

No offense to those who disagree with me, but 25 years in Corrections tells me that guys like them should be in prison and not making millions in the NFL. Unfortunately, the NFL is not about fair play, good sportsmanship, and role models; it's all about money and the entertainment business.

I am going out on a limb and stating for record that I believe Gase will be here for a long time and will turn this franchise back into winners...
