OK guys . after yesterday`s brainstorming " lets start thigpen , let`s fire sparano "...etc etc , and watching a game that for itself can show you where this team went thru and is positioned right now I can tell you this .

It could not be a better time to have a very deep draft class . I am very exited about it , i have no question in my mind that ILB , NT and FS/OLB are the top priorities .

WR is not a top priority , i know most people watch this game based on big plays rather than team balance and game management . but beleive me the offense was not a problem , in fact i was truly amazed to see R.Brown and Cobbs going down and still having a very interesting attack .

We also have our QB problem completely solved , i dont know about " the eye injury " but it was perfect to see white and thigpen in action . thigpen is a solid legit QB and i feel a reliable back up . in fact the wild cat can be even more efective with him because he is very mobile and really throws well , but i dont see it happenning if ronnie is healthy . the white`s experiment is over , his athleticism is interesting and he may stay with us with a wild cat role in different schemes . penny could be resigned as a 3rd QB , and i really hope it panns out that way . this is henne`s team . no question .

Safety play was a mess all year long , but i tried to digest it and came with the observation again of the lack of a big time ILB that can cover and stop the run , dont be surprised if we pick ILB twice , i see it comming in the first and the third rounds with OLB in the mix , second round NT/ FS . not having a dominant LB corps creates to much space to cover , i'm not saying that wilson played great at all , in fact he was a disapointment , i see him competing with a draftee and culver in next camp . or cut . davis and smith will be better next year . i also hope we resign jason taylor he is still very capable of playing , but the respect he commands and leadership is unparalleled . this young guys need him in there . similar to the penny to henne situation .

this is the third draft for parcells / ireland , so far i feel they addresed the two lines very well , QB , and very good overall talent on Ofense and defense . this draft and trading will make the total package . lets hope we get the kind of team this franchise deserves .

Great 2010 to all dolphin nation !!!!

When you really look at this as our 2nd rebuilding year you I have to say I am happy with the progress. Last year set the bar pretty high. But a few things have happened.
Quarterback of the future. ( I was beginning to think this would never happen)
Young talented core. (Sure we are missing some pieces)

I can't wait for the draft. This team is real close no matter what the pessimists say.

This team desperately needs playmakers, on both sides of the ball. The team has assembled a lot of really solid talent but we need a handful of elite pro-bowl level players now. There's some guys on the roster that can become the needed playmakers but there's nobody there today.

while i do agree we are heading in the right direction the front office has made some errors as well.

gibril wilson does not fit our team at all and needs to be cut and we need to get a coverage safety to replace him.

vernon carey is a overpaid RT.

I really don't know how I feel about this. Really liked what I saw from Hartline the last few games. Is he B. Marshall? No but he requires less Tylenol. I would like to see a Playmaker at LB, and Safety. These are very reasonable requests. However, Clemons (I am hoping ) could turn into a very servicable Safety. I would take 11 solid players on each side of the ball. Superstars dont win superbowls, solid teams with depth do.

Errors are going to happen. I think we have been right more often than not. Not many FO's can say that.

Defense is awful...I am very happy with the Offense..

We need a NT and We need OLB who can get pressure on the qb...

We need guys like Woodley...

Can wake be that guy?

But Sparano just said that he thinks Channing Crowder is a Pro bowl caliber ILB.

He may not be Pro Bowl, but our Run D looked pretty shakey without him. We really over pursued and got gashed on cutbacks.

i agree , without crowder our run defense looks bad , again that makes me think ILB is top priority , not to mention we dont have a LB that can cover tight ends efectively .

in fact this FO has made less errors than previous FO`s , not to mention the cleaning they had to do . pat white was drafted because he was the perfect wildcat QB in their minds taken in round 2 was a mistake ,TE Nalbone was also a mistake , Turner has`nt made it yet , G Murphy , RB parmalee , the trades for wilford and wilson , yes yes all mistakes .

Now

QB`s Pennington , Henne and thigpen .
RB`s Cobbs , Hilliard
OL Long , Smiley , Berger , garner , thomas , and trading centers with the raiders
DL Merling , starks , ferguson , mcdaniel , langford
WR hartline , bess
TE fasano , haynos
CB davis , smith
S culver

as i`m wrting i`m impressed , it is a complete new team !
i think all are good players and : Henne , Long , langford and hartline have superstar potential .

The biggest mistakes they've made we're through FA and that is the easiest fix. Making big mistakes through the draft is a franchise killer that takes years to over come.

We can cut G.Wilson and sign A.Rolle when he becomes available....problem solved.
E.Wilford never really hurt us he just didn't help us...cut, easy fix. Now if Long was a bust then we're in a bigger pickle but that's not the case. All teams miss in FA, even the ones people hold in high esteem like Pitt, NE and Indy.

FS is the biggest issue for us this offseason, we can get by with our LB's not to say we won't try to upgrade them. I see Taylor being re-signed and Wake filling in for Porter, so depth is needed there. Crowder (like him or not) is going nowwhere and we continue to see his impact when he misses time and we can#t even slow the run down. Akin could be an upgrade casuality, which would be a great idea. NT needs to be addressed through FA not throught the draft where that player will need years to develope.

Wr needs some help but I don't see a major move here unless we can Boldin for a 3rd and 6th. We're going to try for a solid veteran because we already have one of the youngst WR core in football. Floyd, Walter, Avant and Evans are all possibilities but look for Turner to be added to the active roster next year so a no move maybe the case.

We could also use an upgrade at TE, this will only benefit Henne's progression as a QB.

Priorities in my eyes start with..... FS and NT, then OLB, ILB, WR, TE.
