After watching all the games...or at least seeing the highlights and scores, I don't feel as bad. The Carolina Panthers and Dallas Cowboys were picked by some to go all the way and they both lost. The Bucs won the division last year and they were shut out. And the Bills almost beat the Patriots which was one of the most interesting games of the day. Oh, and the Jets won and they were supoosed to be terrible.

I think part of the problem is all the prognoticating that goes on prior to the season. Hell, ESPN picks division winners, wild card teams, and playoff winners all the way to the Superbowl. And because of Daunte's arrival and his ability to even start the season, the Dolphins have been the topic of much conversation and have been picked by some to host the Superbowl.

But the bottom line is THAT IS WHY THEY PLAY THE GAMES.

GO 'PHINS...BEAT THE BILLS.

Thursday's loss hasn't hampered my hopes for the season, but it has highlighted the biggest areas of weakness for us to compete at a championship level.

I think having the Champs for the 1st game will prove to be a big plus (even given the loss). Saban will work on the weaknesses, and Mularkey can work on the strengths. We will get progressively better and compete with every team we play.

It's way too early to get too high or too low after week 1.

Exactly

Its funny how some people will jump off a bridge after one loss, and crown themselves champs after one win

Newsflash to everyone, there are 15 games left

ever since saban has arrived we have been told how complex his defensive schemes are. this keeps repeating itself and many of the players, in a nice way, says it's too complicated. It takes forever and maybe never to learn. well, how did the college kids at LSU figure it out? something strange going on here. but it's carrying over from last season so I'm inclined to think its a problem.

I don't start complaining until week 4 usually. Then I reasess at weeks 8 and 12.

nyjunc, couldn't agreee more. week 1 is to early to re-act.

I was in shock and awe on some of the games. Shaun Alexander did nothing, trent green got clocked, Tn changed QB's to often.

To the original post:

Jets and Titans neither are teir 1 teams right now (I said RIGHT NOW) so if you have 2 teams that are re-building one is going to look better then the other with the win, however had they played a teir 1 team, I would have expected both to lose. Example, we played teir 1 and lost, I believe we are in that second teir of teams right now untill we can prove otherwise.

How dare you correct everyone on here with your so called "logic" I shall see you in court sir.

Thank you!! Too early to panic is an understatement... Pepp will get his roll on along with a few more playmakers!

Actually, that is not true, if you are observant enough, you can get a good idea how good a team will be this year, and where their weakness and strength may be.

Miami will be ok, and will get better as the season goes on, the Bills are not going to be lying down for anyone (They are going to scare some teams this year, and they started with the Patriots), the Pats are starting to show chinks in their armor, but are still going to be the toughest to beat once the 4th quarter starts, in a close game. As for the Jets, their road looks to be the toughest, and will probably end up last as they rebuild.

I just want the people who say bench DC and start Joey to shut the hell up. :tantrum:

Yea I dont feel so bad as well, especially after seeing many teams not being able to run the ball effectively like our fins. I also noticed that most teams now dont have a primary runner, but have a couple of guys that split carries like we had last year...maybe Suggs can do some of that. I just had to mention that since I saw a lot of teams being successful with pounding the ball with two guys (Falcons-Dunn and Norwood did awesome)
