Our coaching staff continues to do a poor job at putting our personnel in positions they can excel. No matter what player you want to point to it's become imposable to expect any one player to "have a good game", Miami has to many quality players for this to happen.

The defensive backs, or those placed in coverage, have been a huge fail to this point. We loaded these positions with vets in the off season in hopes to get consistency but the results are no different then putting some mid round rookies in the back end.

Lazor might even be a step back from Sherman. He hasn't been able to use our TE's with any effect and our WR's as a group were more effective last year. The running game has improved through three weeks but the Dolphins invested essentially a new line and new RB to resolve this. As for Tannehill, it's time the coaching staff realizes the combination of Tannehills lack of experience, in pocket talent, and talent surrounding him, requires Tannehill to operate as a "mobile" QB and not a "Pocket" QB. I believe if Tannehill is to ultimately find success in the NFL it will be more the evolutionary path of Donavan McNab and not a Tom Brady.

In general I have 1 1/2 feet onto the fire Philbin side of the fence. I have no idea who to bring in (maybe Sumlin) but Philbin just hasn't been effective.

Our WR corp, I though going into the season it was a strength. After watching guys who are legitimate WR beasts like Calvin and Julio it's all to clear our WR corp is only capable of doing as well the other eliminates on the team, we have no WR that will dominate a game.

Our TE game, so disappointing, I guess Lazor didn't read that NFL.com article placing Clay in the top 100.

Defensive line, so damn good but typical inconsistencies we Dolphin fans have grown to hate.

LB's, our depth is horrable. Maybe stacking our roster with marginal NFL WR's at the cost of depth in other places wasn't a good idea.

Fully agree with you that they need to get Tannehill to use his legs more. It's why I was screaming at the wind for them to hire Kubiak in the off-season. #17 would be much better in an play-action offense from under center with a strong boot game.

Biggest problem with the use of TEs is that he isn't sending Clay downfield. If you look at the depth Clay is getting on his routes, it's pretty much never more than 7 yards or so. Waste of talent.

Lazor surprisingly enough has been the anti chip Kelly. The whole thing with the Philly offense is get guys in space and spread the ball around. I'm sure people here will argue but other than McCoy (who is actually doing worse thus far than both Miller and Moreno statistically) the Eagle overall offensive talent isn't much different than the Dolphins. The Eagles WR's catch the ball with 15 yards between them and the defender, Miami receivers catch the ball with defenders draped all over them, that's a scheme thing. That's in a large part on Lazor.

Nothing to do with Lazor. It has to do with the fact that Ryan Tannehill can't threaten the deep part of the field with a completion but Nick Foles can.

No, the biggest problem is that we don't even try. 1 deep attempt on a play where a receiver stepped out of bounds isn't going to cut it. Lazor is trying to get guys open in space, I just think that he's calling too much underneath stuff and not running the ball enough. Defenders are just sitting on the routes.

Lazor deserves more than 3 games to show he can get the job done.

And even if he did, the WRs havent threatened to catch the damn ball anyway... And why dont we run the god damn ball more??? The one game we actually ran the ball as much as we passed, we beat the Pats...

doesn't matter what offense, scheme, system you wanna put 17 in.. he'll be 'consistently inconsistent'.. and that's simply bcuz he's a receiver-trying to play-quarterback, with very limited capabilities and narrow scope of NFL playbook

The Eagles have 390 yards after the catch thus far. Miami has 242, I'd suggest that has a ton to do with game planning and scheme.
