Everyone on here probably knows I am not a Matt Moore fan (as a starter), but he looked pretty good. He had some drops on well thrown balls that stalled some drives. I didn't see the int (they didn't show it) but I think I heard it was tipped. Moore did play well though which is good to see if he is the starter or not.
Tannehill looked very good. I think the TD called back was a bad call by the ref....there was definitely nothing definitive. I think the color of his arm and his white glove were mistaken for the football being on the ground. The one thing bad about Tannehill was he got away with one at the end of the 1st half that could have been a pic 6 on an out pattern to Clay. He SHOULD NOT have even considered throwing that ball. This was one of the few knocks on him besides his experience in that he will throw where he is going to go sometimes without really looking. This was one play however, and Tannehill looks like the real deal! He looks fast, the ball comes out fast, he looks comfortable and in control. I really like what I saw except the one play. He would be my starter if we had to start today.
Wallace looked awesome! Clay is going to be a real weapon and also looked great! He will create mis-matches all year! Devlin actually looked ok, he has a really quick release. I am ok with him as the 3rd! I was pretty sure Garrard was going to start the season, but after this crap with his knee out of the blue....I think it will be Moore and Tannehill battling for the 1 spot with the loser being the number 2 guy....and Devlin at 3.
Another observation is Pouncey (who I like) is still snapping a few bad shotgun snaps.....this really does make me nervous like every time Fiedler threw a 10 yard out!
Anyways, the score was not indicative of the game..... we had a TD taken away, and had multiple other chances to score which I think we can clean up. All in all it was the first preseason game with no game plan. I think we played better than the score would indicate..... just my 2 cents.
