Everyone on here probably knows I am not a Matt Moore fan (as a starter), but he looked pretty good. He had some drops on well thrown balls that stalled some drives. I didn't see the int (they didn't show it) but I think I heard it was tipped. Moore did play well though which is good to see if he is the starter or not.

Tannehill looked very good. I think the TD called back was a bad call by the ref....there was definitely nothing definitive. I think the color of his arm and his white glove were mistaken for the football being on the ground. The one thing bad about Tannehill was he got away with one at the end of the 1st half that could have been a pic 6 on an out pattern to Clay. He SHOULD NOT have even considered throwing that ball. This was one of the few knocks on him besides his experience in that he will throw where he is going to go sometimes without really looking. This was one play however, and Tannehill looks like the real deal! He looks fast, the ball comes out fast, he looks comfortable and in control. I really like what I saw except the one play. He would be my starter if we had to start today.

Wallace looked awesome! Clay is going to be a real weapon and also looked great! He will create mis-matches all year! Devlin actually looked ok, he has a really quick release. I am ok with him as the 3rd! I was pretty sure Garrard was going to start the season, but after this crap with his knee out of the blue....I think it will be Moore and Tannehill battling for the 1 spot with the loser being the number 2 guy....and Devlin at 3.

Another observation is Pouncey (who I like) is still snapping a few bad shotgun snaps.....this really does make me nervous like every time Fiedler threw a 10 yard out!

Anyways, the score was not indicative of the game..... we had a TD taken away, and had multiple other chances to score which I think we can clean up. All in all it was the first preseason game with no game plan. I think we played better than the score would indicate..... just my 2 cents.

Just literally watched the game there now, agree pretty much with all your said. Pruitt looked well too, Egnew was OK/mixed bag given how much criticism he has got round here, Martin was poor and in the main the running game wasn't that great. The starting front 7 on the D I think will get their game together, think Dansby and Solai looked good. Sean Smith is a problem, Vontae I think will come good over the next few weeks.
Was very interested watching the hurry up, it definitely means you can't pound the rock with the same RB 2 or 3 plays in a row, will get them gassed. Will need frequent substitutions putting pressure on everyone on O, and on the D. Saw Fasano at FB at one point so you have players playing multiple positions so you could have a lot of stupid penalties this year as people get used to this.
Overall for the 1st pre season game saw enough to be excited about, Tannehill, I was very happy with. That one where he nearly got a pick 6 was his fault but I think the outside receiver should have been picking the inside DB.

Here is my take:

Agree wholeheartedly on the TD take back by refs. His arm/hand were clearly under the ball and I dont know anyone with 20-10 vision that could see that ball actually hit the ground. They made that one up for TV for sure. Screw the dolphins. Thats the NFL MO.

Martin is getting used to the line calls and audibles IMO and snap count while concentrating on his guy. Im not worried about it. It will come in time to the point where its not a problem because this no huddle offense will offset shortcomings IMO.

Rishard Matthews had two good kickoff returns, not just one. He takes off one direction goes the other. Nifty little deceptiveness there.

Overall No-huddle offense was good by all QB's IMO. They did it with conviction. This is key. This was clearly the directive in my mind. Ive never seen so many slants that have been this effective. All predicated on QB/WR reads of defensive set up IMO. That is why Wallace is one of the guys who will make a statement this year. Pruitt too.

TE's are loaded IMO. Egnew with beautiful catch over middle and concentration. He will do fine over time.

Moore & RT can both work the offense. Forget about what you hear in practices. Moore was running the no-huddle just fine and making adjustments himself. It just would be nice if he had teamates who could actually catch the ball when most needed. Not a problem in future as Ocho going gone gone.

OL run blocking pathetic, but I do not think they were focused on that too much. I think the next game they will put more planning into that.

Jason Trusnik is a changed player. Dude looks better than most right now after that display. fumble recovery on punt, better on ST than last year for sure, and just set the edge better and crashed the interior quickly. Spitler in on tackles. Derrick Shelby is showing. Baker is still a keeper and Keeston Randle also played well. Not worried about any depth at LB now.

Guys who were either kept out or were invisible. Westerman.

DB's overall were lax. Smith did better than I originally thought. He had good coverage on one and the missed tackle was just a great balance act by Tampa RB. I cant hold him to that one. That was a nice hit. Everything else did not pay real close attention. I just think the D was vanilla. No blitz packages or stunts that I could tell.

I think you will see a much more focused Miami team Friday night. With all the drama taking place and with last weeks poor effort I expect Miami to come out and to play well

I saw the game live and than the replay today. Yes, Moore had an int that was a tipped ball. Guy's who I thought stood out were Matthews on PR/KR, he may not be fast but, he's very elusive and sure handed, as well as, being built like a tank. Samuda is going to be a keeper at Center, and may turn out to be a real gem someday soon. Egnew caught my attention with a fantastic block, on the play where Garner was injured; taking his man clear across the field. Pruitt, Clay and Wallace all looked like seasoned vets out there, giving me hope that they will make contribution with regularity on Sunday's. Spitler, Trusnik and Freeny showed like they belong. Spitler and Trusnik kept showing up making tackles. Devlin showed how much improvement he's made and hope they keep him on the 53 man roster, he looks like a different QB. Jimmy Wilson has the instincts for F/S, but just needs more experience at the safety position. On the negative side, the O-line could have played better. Martin like Wilson and Tannehill needs more time and he should shine, he certainly has the smarts to make it. I also wanted to give props to Murtha for his solid work at LT on the 2nd unit. As for Tannehill, he showed he's got the talent to be a starter. He certainly knows the offense, but again in time, I think he will shine very brightly.

look again, the call on the reversed TD was correct

Here is my take:

Noting guys who are invisible. On your avatar with Miami's draft picks. 5. Josh Kaddu, LB. I don't think I have heard his name mentioned since draft day.

I did, multiple times....pause and rewind....on a 70 inch HD LED TV and it looked to me like what I first thought may be the ball on the ground was his arm and white glove going under it. I thought A. it was a catch, and B. if not a catch....there was definitely not "DEFINITIVE" proof to over turn the called TD.....Just MHO.

Richard Marshall had a very good showing. Put a fork in Vontae's starting career unless he takes Smith's position. When you adjust for talent level of the defense, Moore and Tannehill were still very close. Tannehill made at least five rookie mistakes. He has some consistency problems, but I am confident he will have a good career. I still think Moore starts the season, but it is very close.

Spitler and Trusnick were everywhere..

it looked like the move to a 43 definitely has helped them...today rewatching the game i was surprised at the fact i saw some instincts to the ball from both guys...
