Nick Saban I think he gave some clues about where Miami will look to draft. He mentioned the needs he discussed prior to free agency, then added that the Dolphins were not able to meet all of them and would use the draft to do so. Anyone care to analyze what positions really didn't get addressed? I believe he was referring to these positions:

WR
LB
Back-up Quarterback
Nose Tackle

Those are the most obvious positions that did not get addressed or not addressed enough. Recent moves in the secondary have me thinking that will not be the first position drafted. I have to say it could be one from WR, LB, or NT. It should not be back-up quarterback unless someone falls like Young.

Sounds about right to me, although I still wouldn't be surprised to see another DB, corner or safety, brought in through the draft either. I definitely think we need to grab a NT to groom for when Traylor leaves.

Saban is too smart to tip his hand completely, I think we take the BPA from a grade point system within these positions mentioned.

We take the best player available Whether is Jimmy WIlliams, Santonio Holmes, Chad Jackson, Allen or Donte Whitner. Although I hate to say it Saban may look at Greenway. But he has put us in a position to take the BPA

i hope he goes best available player or i think he might try and trade back and get some more picks...but i think it'll be 1 of the positions that you mentioned...if we get arrington i think i'd like to get a wr...

Well why dont you look back at his three designated things he wanted to do in the offseason. 1) Get a QB and get one for the future. 2) Upgrade the Oline 3) Get younger on defense

Of the three, which one do you think we have accomplished the most?

I would say #3. While we would still be looking for a LB or Safety (moreso Safety is needed IMO if you look at the roster), we have really already accomplished that on defense. We have also already got our QB but will probably be getting a QB in this draft and dont forget what Mueller said about possibly drafting 2 QB's (7th round IMO). Now what does that leave wide Open?

Yes, something you did not have on your list. Offensive Linemen!

It was quoted in the papers that Saban is in the market for an interior linemen. Well, I havent seen any interior linemen picked up via free agency. And if you consider Mckinney a lock to be entrenched as our starting center as a done deal, then I would say that is just rediculous!

OUr biggest need is to build a championship style Oline. Just getting Shelton isnt going to solve the problem. We need more talent up front. Hadnot, Carey, Mckinney, and a one year deal for Mcintosh is not going to cut it!

So I would say you are way off base. But thanks for bringing up an issue near and dear to my heart though!

My estimation is that Saban will have his first 16 guys pegged. If those 16 are gone or one of those are not really needed on this team (like a TE or true big DE or T), then he will trade down or take the best guys on his board around 16. That to me leaves alot open since mock drafts have been all over the place when looking around 16 and on.

To me, you want to trade down and pick up some 2's and 3's. There is alot of talent there that Saban could put right into his system no problem and be just as good as the first round guy. Greg Blue the safety from Georgia is a perfect example.

I think Saban will draft the BPA or trade down for a later first and more picks.

From that list it will have to be a WR, Jackson or Holmes. There is a lot of talent later for lb & qb. I don't see us taking a NT in the first.

I don't see him drafting a backup QB, he's always said he likes to have : Starter, Experienced Vet Back-up, and Developmental guy. Considering Lemon has never taken a real snap, he'd have to be considered the developmental.

As far as the 1st rounder goes, barring a trade down, I definitely see either a WR or a defensive front 7 player.

i hate when people say we will take BPA, cuz if so then we would take Dangelo Williams who at 16 would be best avaible, he is a top 10 talent
