Do you guys think it would be possible to get both of these guy i mean theyd help our defense tremedously,do we have a enough cap room to sign these guys or even 1 of em (donnie edwards)

Pat Kirwin on NFL Network said the Chargers are going to play him this year and after that he is a free agent. The Chargers didn't allow his a agent to seek a trade.

Didn't Ahmed Plummer get signed also.???

Ahmed Plummer is still a free agent.

Oh yeah and by the way, awesome sig man. That thing is sweet!

Can't have em' if they decide to keep em'. Hell that's why we wanted him, he got them somethin' like 115 tackles last year. Anybody who says "oh let's cut this guy" would probably be related to the Spielmans.

Will the Chargers cut Edwards? They didnt give him permission for him to seek a trade, so I cant see them releasing him.

We don't need Plummer...a washed up never has been ?? No thanks, we have several players better than him on the roster now...If SF didn't want him, how good can he be ??

Edwards doesn't really fit this D or what Saban is trying to do...he wants youth and diversity in the absence of a dominating OLB. Edwards is an inside guy. You don't want him as a replacement for ZT do you ?? He's a very good LB, don't get me wrong, but his size just doesn't fit the mold for a Saban LBer..imo....

that was speculation on Pat's part, but yeah. The idea was that because the Chargers aren't allowing Donnie to seek his own trade, and because of how this dispute is going on, it's Pat's best guess that the Chargers are more than likely sending a message to Donnie that they're going to keep him this year, and they have no intention of resigning him. However, if the right deal comes along...

Plummer would be too expensive and not worth in value terms what he would be demanding. Most probably what we have now in the secondary is what we bring to the table in Sept. Can't see any majore shake ups or movements at Saftey or CB barring catastrophic injury to a major contributor in camp or pre-season.

We don't need Ahmad Plummer, we already had Reggie howard.

Agreed...Plummer was a major liability on a horrible defense in SF, leave him be. I would much rather see Miami get Edwards (should he be released) and Dan Wilkinson for some DT depth.

We don't need either of these guys, would love to get Donnie but doesn't look like that will happen.

In Saban We Trust!
