Has anyone noticed that while a lot of the other teams (eg Bills), have players in trouble with the law for drugs, domestic violence, DUI, manslaughter, etc, I don't think that we have heard of any Dolphins misbehaving. I think that this reinforces the discipline instilled from the top is working. The Trifecta seem to have also made a conscious effort to recruit good role models like Chad Pennington, Jake Long and co. My bet is that they continue to steer clear of players with "character issues" in this forthcoming Draft.

Don't jinx it... These players are human just like the rest of us, except they are young and have tons of money and women. Although I have ever understood how these guys can get DUIs.... Get a taxi or for a few hundred bucks, get a limo for the night. Makes no sense to me.

There are plenty of other teams too that haven't had anyone get into trouble. People hear about a few players doing dumb things and they think that the entire NFL is filled with low lifes. Then you look at your team and say wow, our coach is doing a good job of keeping these guys in line. Well like 90+ % of the coaches in the NFL are.

Pretty soon they are going to be moving the Bengals playing field to the State Penn. Since that is the only way any players will be available to play on Sundays thanks to the problem guys they sign.

Well, the whole Donte Whittner tasering thing happened at Ted Ginn's birthday party. Hopefully, he had nothing to do with what happened.

role models help a little, but its the individual's character that truly matters .... i you have no character - i don't care who your role model is ... sooner or later your true colors will come out.

role models are those such as ZT or CP, that can teach technique - film study, etc to make you a better player. if you have character flaws at this point in a players life, it will take much more than a role model to change it -- now your talking a lifestyle change (not to mention having to change your environment) ... very difficult things to do at that point (considering the 'success' reached by just making it to the NFL)

I'm pretty sure that these guys realize that if you get into trouble, you're almost asking to be kicked out of this team's plans, because each and every position on this team has other young guys very, very hungry to get a crack at the starting lineup.

See, this why threads about: Ocho Stinko, Pacman, Vick, Plaxico, etc. are all stupid. This team wants "character." Not characters.

Its never made sense to me how ANYONE gets a dui. When youre TOO DRUNK at a bar or a club here in NorCal, a lot of places will get you a taxi for free. If youre at a friends/fams house, they should know better. But thats just me. I think anyone that ever gets a DUI, and is proven to be drunk, should never be allowed to drive again.
