EDIT: I AM NOT TRYING TO BASH FEELEY. I am not making an argument against Feeley or for him. I am asking for ya'll to discuss whether first if you agree with it or not and just in general if he belongs on that list...I also just thought it was interesting and wanted to see if you guys would read it.

people constantly take shots at A.J. Feeley, so now you all know why he has so many supporters

yea and he had a top 10 QB performance in the last few games he played last year

Not sure I would go out on a limb and say that. He was solid the last three games.....and solid is far from top 10.

He started to show improvement towards the end of the year, i think you guys should start Gus, much better QB, and he seemed comfortable with the offense.

2004 AJ Feeley- 53.7 Completion %, 11 TD, 15 INT
2000 Ryan Leaf- 50.0%, 11 TD, 18 INT
1970 Terry Bradshaw- 38.1%, 6 TD, 24 INT
1992 Boomer Esiason- 51.8%, 11 TD, 15 INT
1986 Jack Trudeau- 48.9%, 8 TD, 18 INT
1975 Archie Manning- 47.0%, 7 TD, 20 INT
1988 Rusty Hilger- 41.2%, 7 TD, 12 INT

There are plenty of other seasons out there worse than the one AJ had last year that are not on this list. Check out Dan Pastorini from 1971-73, less than 50% completions, 19 TDs, 50 INT.

I will support him, or Gus, or whomever else wins the battle. Gee, I guess that makes me a jock strap....er...I mean an athletic supporter.
I just feel that Gus will start, at least at first.

Gus may very well start and if teh season would start today, he would be the huy I would choose. For the simple but huge factor of comfort and poise under pressure. Aj still has time to get comfortable in teh system, but he needs to show more poise and less panic under pressure. I hope AJ does pull it out, he has the most upside of teh two IMO, but Gus is ahead to this point.

What is the point of another I dont like AJ thread? Get over it and support all of our players and hope the coaches start thr best 22 unlike wanny.
