Hope this don't turn to be like the Ponucey situation last year.

Though doctors are optimistic, Dolphins tackle Branden Albert said Friday he’s uncertain if he will ready for the regular-season opener after major knee surgery in November. "I hope I'll be able to play the first game; I just don't know," he said. "We'll see."

Albert, who was limping but walking without assistance, was among several players at a Dolphins event on the eve of the team's annual Cyling Challenge that raises a ton of money for innovative cancer research.

take all the time you need, Branden. we don't need any setbacks

Raises a ton of money. I'm an accounting manager and I'd never write that we raised a ton of money. I just hope he can return to form and sometimes players improve from pre injury with lots of rehab and strength training.

He will be fine. However, finding a solid veteran swing tackle later in FA still should be on the list.

I'm sure he will be back this year but have concerns as to what level of play that will be. This was a serious injury, he has had others, and the older you get the harder it is to adjust and star close to the same play.

He won't be ready. Not at least til next November. If he plays any earlier it won't be anywhere near 100%. His injury knee injury occurred too late in the season to count on him early on for next. We need plan in place for our tackle situation.

It will be wise for Hickey to think this way for sure, otherwise he may put this OL in a bad situation out of the gates week 1.

This is another reason Franklin should be the top free agent priority...if alberts not a go to start you keep James at left and have Franklin and turner at right

Suh and Franklin should be the top 2 targets...I don't care about signing other marginal free agents just to fill holes elsewhere...go get difference makers

Make strong contract offers to both..cut the crap and sign these two...

IMO, James is not a LT and do not want to see his development at RT hurt any more than it was last year. I'm not seeing any worthwhile options, at this point, in FA. IF Albert is going to miss time, I'm thinking it may be worth drafting a LT who can also move inside around the 3rd round.

Damn.. wasn't there just a post a short while back, saying he was ahead of schedule?

Yes there was, just like there was word Wallace wanted out, but today he loves Miami. It's hard to know what's really going on apparently.
