He's a great receiver, but he is going to be 31yrs. old. 2019 will be his 9th yr. in the league. He doesn't really fit the rebuilding criteria. Unless he is willing to play for the league minimum (No Chance in Hell), I don't think we will see him in a Phins uni.

The Miami Dolphins are expected to use the 2019 season as a reset button, fixing the salary cap and getting the team ready to be a long term threat in the NFL. That does not mean the players are ready to “tank” a season. With rumors indicating Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell would like to sign with the Dolphins, another Steelers player is being recruited by at least one member of the Dolphins.

Wide receiver Antonio Brown, who seems destined for a divorce from the Steelers, posted an “photoshopped” image on Instagram in which he was wearing a San Francisco 49ers uniform with Hall of Fame receiver Jerry Rice. Dolphins wide receiver Albert Wilson jumped into the comments, telling Brown, “Well dang I’m embracing you in Miami.”

Not gonna happen. If it does happen then we'll know all that talk from Ross was BS. That's not the way you "rebuild"

The only way this makes sense is if we decide to once again use that bandaid approach. Trade for Nick Foles and make him our quarterback. Trade for Antonio Brown and make him our number one receiver. And then sign Le’Veon Bell to be our stud running back. Let's do what the Miami Dolphins do best and spend big and fall flat on our faces.

With that said, I don't see us being in the market for AB or LB if we are in fact heading into a proper rebuild, and to be honest I would rather follow this route and build through the draft than continue with the bandaid approach because we aren't close to winning anything right now.

Sign me up. I am not all in on any "complete" rebuild mentality. The Rams had a remearkable turnaround and they did it by signing good free agent castaways and turned that ship around post haste.

Just signing these 2 guys will not turn this team around but signing these 2 guys along with other cheap quality vets, a vet QB, and acing the draft could have us making a deep run in the playoffs next year.

The good news is AB is still a top WR. BUT, here's my view of top high-priced athletes . . . they are for teams 1-2 pieces away from a SB run. 'If we just had a top receiver, we're as good as anyone.' Miami, as fans know, isn't that team. I'll pass.

This is the questionable types of moves we have made in the past that never worked out. We did something similar with Suh, because we had just missed the playoffs in 2014 due mostly to 3 late game winning drives given up by the D when we had the lead (Denver, Packers, and Detroit i I remember correctly). we thought we were one great player away from being contenders.

We are nowhere near that category now and we must become better as a team across the board, including quality depth. Lack of depth has been the biggest issue on this team by far (especially with the O-line). We have to start drafting better as having to stay competitive through mostly FA is #1 expensive and #2 a huge gamble with guys in their 30's to stay healthy.

Not saying I want AB or LB or think we will get either one but I think we might all be falling for this whole rebuild or tank trap. Certainly we should be rebuilding. But why are we taking what is being said about our plans in 2019 as a definite? I can't help but think there's some strategy in convincing people we wanna do one thing then do the other. It would be smart if we want to get what we want without giving too much if anything at all. Why would the fins show there hand and play the exact hand?

Antonio Brown would finally be the alpha receiver that would help propel Tannehill into being an elite QB.

I haven't seen any statement of specifics made by anyone inside the organization, only speculation by writers, and other media. What, specifically, are you referring to?

As far as "showing your hand", I'm certain it's obvious to the other teams that we aren't holding a pair of aces as our hole cards.
