Albert Wilson

No need to race to cut him. Apparently there are reports that we are kicking the tires on Brandin Cooks in a possible trade from the Rams for a Draft pick. Cooks is clearly better than Wilson (also more expensive at $12M/season), but there are lots of really good receivers in the Draft. It may be prudent to wait and draft a decent WR in the 3rd or 4th round. I think that Albert is decent when healthy but probably done in Miami.

Maybe Flores likes him. Guy is a good slot WR but we can get one in this draft with little issue.
Heard multiple reports that Albert is a terrific team first guy. Humble, great work ethic, etc. Interesting to note how often the undrafted guys have the good work ethic - probably because they've had to fight hard to survive in the NFL.

No point now. They can cut him at any time, prior to week 1 of the regular season, to get that relief if needed be.
Bring him to camp, see how he does, and decide then.

His base becomes guaranteed week 1, until then, the Dolphins can cut him in August and still get the same savings, minus 25k for his workout bonuses.

Depending on the draft selections he could possibly be a June 1st cut.

Since he's in the last year of his deal, being a June 1st cut doesn't have the same benefit. Still the same 1.3mil dead cap for this year, with no dead cap rollover for 2021. June 1st designations only mean something when the player has future years of prorated cap(edit bonus) you don't want to have instantly applied to the cap.

Don’t touch Cooks. There’s a reason he keeps moving around.

Keep Albert Wilson.

When healthy - the kid can ball - crazy quick-twitch, energetic, exciting (and still hungry) player that can move the chains.

$9.5M is chicken-scratch in 2020. Get him the ball 50+ times this year and let him eat.

Wilson + Parker + Williams on the field at the same time is a problem for defenses.

Agreed with a slight hitch. Strongly consider drafting another WR either as insurance in case P-Funk(Preston) hasnt fully recovered from knee injury. Lastly, for PR/KR duties and for certain package plays from a 4-5 WR set.

Could still be working a restructure tbh, and he was coming on late last year as he got further from his injury. A full off season of workouts and you will see a different player this year. Good teammate and solid guy for the WR core.
