Strengths:
Ideal size and bulk...Extremely smart...Decent athlete with good agility and quickness...Physical and aggressive...Nasty with a killer instinct and always finishes plays...Great technician who understands angles and leverage...Outstanding awareness...Very strong and powerful and is a monster in the weight room...Above average mobility...Hard worker...Tough and durable... Has a lot of experience.

Weaknesses:
Does not have great balance and spends too much time on the ground...A little stiff in the hips...Not real light on his feet...Shorter arms than you'd prefer...Can be too aggressive at times...Will get out of control ... Susceptible to being overwhelmed by massive defenders.

If this is true, i dont think this is the guy i would want replacing Satele. If a C is going to be a 1st round pick i would think that he would have to be the whole package. Thoughts? Has anyone seen him play that can confirm this?

the only time i saw him was on his highlight film was not impressed at all. he does keep his legs moving on blocks but he doesnt keep his form while on the blocks. lunges at blocks more then drives threw them. Its nice to be aggressive but not over aggressive where u lose your form saw to many plays where hes on the ground and that was a highlight real. they normally show your good plays on those reals but this in only my opion take it for what its worth

Hey are these the same guys who reported that J Long could be nothing more than a road grading RT... 2009 Pro Bowl Baby...!

Anuways totally agree If he isn't an upgrade why bother...? Our C is serviceable... We aren't takinga Center first round anyawy..., it would be a much later pick and there may very well be a trade down of that no25 for extra picks... Our Oline is swiss cheese and everyone who knows knows that extra picks would help us shore up OLine and Dline LB/FS

Besides Unger and Mack we might want to take a look at Luigs of Arkansas:

3. Jonathan Luigs, Arkansas, 6’ 4” 314 lbs:
Phil Steele actually has Luigs ranked ahead of Unger and Mack heading into the 2008 season. Steele might have a point, after all Luigs was the winner of the Rimington Award last year as the top center in the nation. Darren McFadden and Felix Jones didn’t both become first round draft picks and run for a combined 2,842 yards and 26 touchdowns by accident, and they surely didn’t do it alone. A lot of their success was due to Luigs blocking and many of their runs were right up the gut behind Luigs. Last season Arkansas averaged an amazing 296.8 rushing yards per game. Luigs led the Razorbacks with a 90.4 percent grade average last season (2007), and blocked his way for 36 100-yard rushing games in 35 career games, including a school-record 16 100-yard performances in 12 games last season.

Luigs is not only big and strong, but he plays with great leverage and has excellent feet, he is also experienced and durable, he started 10 games as a red shirt freshman and got 14 starts as a sophomore where he received 3rd team All-American honors. Last season, besides winning the Rimington Award, he was a unanimous first team All American and recorded another 13 starts.

As long as we upgrade otherwise what's the point...
