will alex smith live up to his #1 overall pick hype?i think he could do ok with vernon davis.what do you all think
 
He's a bust by far. But it's not like there was any QB in that draft worth taking in the 1st round.
 
Now that he's got a big tight end, look out! Smiths no Ryan Leaf...
I'd love to have 'em in teal 'n orange!
 
I don't think he will live up to his #1 hype. I do however feel he will be a decent starter in the NFL. He is a very smart kid, and SF is surrounding him with talent. They aren't asking him to do too much. I do think it will be another year though before he has a decent year. Vernon Davis is definately going to be his go to guy this year.

I sure hope you were only kidding.

But I don't think it was fair with what Smith had to go through last season.

He had no weapons all at except a running game. The OL was horrible and everything was new around them.

This year should be different because they have adding Norv as there OC, adding a couple of weapons for him in the passing game, OL improved and he has a year under the belt as a NFL QB.

We should find out if he is a boom or a bust this year I think.

i think this year he could be decent.at o-line they got larry allen.running back frank gore could be a real sleeper.WR?lost brandon lloyd have antonio bryant:lol: but vernon davis is going to be a monster
