While Shaun Alexander has picked up crucial yards for Seattle when needed, its appeared to me, that either one of our running backs, would of been quicker through the hole, or even around the outside than Alexander.

I could be mistaken, as its been a surprisingly long postseason since the R&R Express was derailed from operation, but as I recall,
top-end speed notwithstanding, I'd swear Ricky would of blew threw some of the traffic, that Alexander's been wrapped up in.

Right now, Alexander is clearly better than either RIcky or Ronnie. In 2 years when Alexander is beaten down, maybe ROnnie will be better, but no GM in the league would take R or R over Alexander if they were in the superbowl.

You're not giving nearly enough credit to the Pittsburgh run defense.

For 1 game, 1 great feature back is better than splitting 2.

Who gives a **** about Pitts run D? The only thing that stopped the Hawks was the refs!

What a disgrace.

You know what your right. i thought it was very piss poor officiating. the push was not a push..They were both making contact, the holding wasnt even a holding and the tackle that hasselback made was legit....really bad

thanks aqua ..... I really feel bad , It´s the most important game of the year , it was like watching an arranged box fight , too bad to ever win like that , I´m sure bradshaw and co are thinking the same way , i´m not saying it was arranged but it was very clear from the start that it was going to be very tough for the hawks . just a shameful game .

Yeah, I was cognizant in stating "some" of the traffic, and didn't intent to suggest that either R&R would of trounced through Pittsburgh's now championship calibur, run stuffing defense (at least with OUR O-line),
but I'm still not convinced, that what Alexander had to work with, wouldn't of been hit harder, and quicker, by at least one of our guys.

SOrry sir but you are VERY WRONG. RW alone not talkin abotu RB yet is way ahead of Alexander. RW rushed for 18** with a ok Off line. Alexander is doin it behind a GREAT off line. RW is quick, moves, stutersteps, jukes, powers - Alexander if youw atched the SB and other games of his has NO movejs, no jukes, no stutersteps. he is just a smooth curves his body towards teh sweep and powers his way. One play where he caught the ball and couldn't move his legs made me realize this just 10 times more then ebfore. Watch RB or RW they always juke and do bball moves especially RB. Alexander just shifted his body about 3 degrees and got tackled.

I would agree that Ricky in his prime was better than Alexander, but now? Alexander is helped alot by his Oline, but he is still a great back. Ronnie has not proved himself an elite back yet, and Ricky is not what he once was.

Man, I have to agree. It didn't matter to me which team won I just wanted a good game. BUT...after watching the refs practically GIVE the game to Pittsburgh I began to support Seattle as a clear underdog. Not sure what was going on but it left a bad taste in my mouth. Pittsburgh would probably have won this game regardless...it just seemed that every call that COULD go against Seattle DID. Many of the calls were just terrible.

Has anyone else noticed that the officiating has really gotten bad?
