Ok, I know there will be the usual responses to this thread. The ones where people scream "Joey's not the answer!" or "Daunte's our future." or the infamous "JH is a great backup QB."

Well guess what he's been the starter for several weeks now and he's getting the job done! Even the couple games he lost looked so much better than anything Daunte did for us. Imagine if he had been starting from day 1. This guy is a leader, he's exciting, he's got good instincts and he has been improving week over week. He had a passer rating over 107% today and threw for over 200 yards and 3 TDs. If you ask me that goal line INT was Chambers fault and not his anyway. Face it, 84 did not fight for the ball on that play. As far as I am concerned I hope Daunte never comes back and YES...I mean that. I've never been a Daunte fan since he was down here at UCF. What you saw today was classic Dolphin football and we have got a great QB who leads his team and fires up the sideline. Good for Joey going into Detroit and whooping their ***** on Turkey Day!

By the way in the post game did you notice CBS had us in the hunt for the playoffs???

LET'S GO DOLPHINS!!!!!!

I don`t know how that goal line INT was Chambers` fault...but I`ll play along, great win for the Dolphins today, and a very efficient performance by Joey. We`ve got a nice break until Jax, let`s see if we can keep it rolling.

Kid played like a world beater today.

He played well last week....

At the same time...He's not the starter next year.

i agree wit u 110% except i nvr wanted daunte in the beginning, i would have rather had brees but now that joey is runnin this show im happy, lets win out nd go all the way

I'm glad that we have a guy in there that is getting the job done. Whether or not he is the guy for next year is another story but he is at least earning a chance to compete with whoever is here next year for the starting job.

Exactly and he did play well. Honestly though this was the Lions that basically every team in the league has torched through the air. This is the most complete game he has played so far, lets see it continue next week against a very good defense.

I like Joey, but he is not PHENOMENAL. In his first three games he had crappy QB ratings and we won with him playing so-so at QB. THIS game he had a score to settle, and played a crap team so I am tempering my joy over his performance with realizing it would be hard for Joey to play this well against better teams and/or teams with which he has no personal score to settle.

Daunte's job is safe.

Unless Joey "turns a corner" and never goes back to playing at the level of a 70 QB rating quarterback, Daunte will still be the starter next year imo. Joey would have to operate at above a 90 rating the rest of the year to throw any doubt on that.

This year is proof that we keep joey

You don't screw up chemistry. The players are playing together for the first time, and it's because they have become used to joey. I will say this, if Joey wins out the rest of the year or he loses one or two games, he will keep his job. Nick Saban learned his lesson by dumping Gus and losing 6 out of seven to start the next year. If this team can consistently win with joey, we need to keep him.
