Carmelo Anthony’s crew of All-Stars seems to be holding its own summer league: a traveling series.
Last month, the star-studded group with Anthony, LeBron James and Chris Paul faced Kevin Durant’s Goodman All-Stars in Baltimore, where they put on quite a show for the thousands in attendance at Morgan State University. Come Sunday evening, Carmelo’s friends will take on Lou Williams and the rest of Team Philadelphia in a showdown at the Palestra, which will be streamed live online at SI.com.
And now, according to Yahoo! Sports’ Marc Spears, Team Melo is headed to North Carolina, where — along with Durant and Dwyane Wade – they’ll play in Paul’s All-Star Charity Game on Oct. 1 at Winston Salem State University.
Just thinking of trying to defend a team of James, Durant, 'Melo, Wade, and Paul in a pickup game.....
