Falcons released suspended QB Michael Vick.
This is just a formality. Vick signed a ten-year, $130 million contract in Dec. of 2004. The Falcons obviously weren't going to honor the deal any longer. They tried trading Vick, but found no takers because all other 31 teams knew Vick would be released eventually. He'll now be available for a minimum salary. The Rams, whose GM Bill Devaney used to work in the Atlanta organization, are expected to be among Vick's most ardent suitors.

PS in no way do I want this guy on our team.... You just know there are going to be a lot of these threads....
 
You're right, they'll probably pop up pretty soon. However, they really shouldn't. I'm pretty sure the addition of Pat White takes Miami out of the Michael Vick equation. I'm just still baffled why anybody would want this sub-human piece of garbage on their team?
 
I had a dream that he got signed by the pats as a backup last night...
 
For a team like the Rams, Raiders or any other franchise looking for a boost, Vick might be worth the gamble, especially on a minimum salary.
 
I pity the poor franchise stupid or despirate enough to take him when/if he's ever allowed to come back to the NFL. Why? Because his talent in no way justifies the media circus and general loathing that will forever follow him wherever he goes. So only owners with egos bigger than their brain would be serious enough to consider this. With that said, teams like the Raiders or Cowboys might be likely destinations. But no way, even if BP wasn't here, would we consider bringing him here.
 
We could hire him to scan the field with a pooper scooper before practices is all he's good for.
 
agree... I dont think this guy should be let back into the nfl. What a bad name to be associated with.

Because there are some people who would torture dogs themselves if it meant giving their team an advantage, albeit a dubious one in this case.
 
As per court records, Vick personally drowned, shot, hung, fought, electrocuted and slammed dogs into the ground to death. He and his idiot buddies also picked up many strays to throw them to their deaths for practice fights. They may have tortured upwards of a 100 dogs to death. Let's not forget what this guy did.

Vick should go and die a slow death, and if any NFL teams signs him back into the league, may that team be cursed forever and may Vick break his focking neck in his first game back.

Fock Vick! No 2nd chance at fame and fortune. The world needs grave diggers too.

I completely agree....after what he did, no team should sign him, he isnt even that good to take a gamble on, even for minimum wage!

Because of dog fighting..wow.. I think he screw up royally, gambling and all that goes with dog fighting...but until he kills a human...I don't think I'd go that far..
