..but wasn't there another RB that many Fin fans on this board were clamoring for? I think his name was Cedric Benson. Yeah, that's him! I seem to remember a lot of people ripping the Fins for taking Brown an passing on Benson. Granted there were a few who said take Caddy, but the majority were on the Benson bandwagon. I was just wondering how many of those fans were ripping the Fins a few weeks ago for passing on Caddy.

The fumble aside (and I couldn't be mad at him for it), I've been very pleased with Ronnie and for the record I was happy with him as the 2nd pick.

Any Benson bandwagoners care to eat their 1st quarter serving of crow?

P.S. I know it's still early in their careers (and Benson will get better) but I thought it was funny after Caddy's quick start that everyone was ripping Ronnie but nobody brought up how they all wanted Benson. And as great as Caddy has been, his one knock was his propensity for injury. And look where he was sitting the last couple of games.

If it's wrong to bash the people who were unhappy that we passed on Caddy, it's also wrong to bash the Benson backers. No matter what running back we're talking about, 5 games into his career is WAY too early to make a judgment.

Actually, that's not entirely true. It looks pretty certain that JJ Arrington is a bust. :)

Who cares about Cedric Benson?

Were not playing...DA BEARS...anytime soon.

Besides, he was the most stubborn one in the draft (signed the latest), so no wonder he's not doing so hot! ;)

He will, most likely if Thomas Jones doesn't steal the spotlight, be a valuable option for the Bears.

(Drew Brees/Philip Rivers type situation)

Whats wrong with Benson? You mean 67 yards on 24 carries (2.7 YPC) average isn't good?

I didn't want Benson then and I sure don't now, we picked the right guy.

Benson just had some loud, fairly obnoxious supporters. I don't know if percentagewise there were anymore of them. Among the fans here who do more than watch a few highlights I thought it evenly distributed between the three.

Like Saban said.. its going to take about 4 yrs before we know who these guys truly are.. Tomlinson is in his 5th year.. and now coming into his own. He's distinguished with few comparisons...

I believe all 3 backs will be good... But having Ricky will help RB tremendously.. Likely will prolong his career.

i was a benson supporter, and just because of his start doesn't mean i still dont think hes a talented back... he missed even more of training camp than ronnie and we saw that ronnie needed 2 games before he got into a slight groove and got comfortable with the speed...

im very happy with brown and am glad we got him, but i still like benson as a RB and think he'll do fine, same with caddy... i have no ill will or discouraging comments for any of them... i had a preference before the draft about every pick and every person we could have, i dont see why its relevant now?

We haven't seen anything yet Brown is a stud the guy is a rookie behind an average line he has exceeded my expectations.
