When your 1-6 you take one game at a time....something this place does not do. We all should just talk about 1 game at a time. If we win or lose....just talk about the next game....not playoffs...not draft day. These Dolphins put themselves in a position where at 1-6, and ALMOST eliminated from any playoff hopes, you have to win out. So just concentrate on the NEXT game. All this Pats and Jags and Colts and Randy Moss...I mean RANDY MOSS? are you kidding me, and hopes and dreams. Bears are 9-1, they have like a 20 game lead on everyone else, they are in position to talk playoffs, home field, superbowl, they can even talk about losing a couple games with no ill effects on their chances to win it all. We dont have that luxury, anybody else feel this way? I am focused on the Lions, and most threads here are, its those ones looking wayyyyy to far down the road. I live in Toledo, Ohio...we are force fed the Lions every Sunday ( I have the NFL ticket of course) and the one thing I know, no matter how bad these guys are 2 things are true. 1. Lions play much much better at home and 2. They always play good football on Thanksgiving. Dont let this 3 game winning streak fool you, we still are not a very good offensive football team and if we keep hoping our Defense keeps bailing us out...well it just cant win 9 games on their own. Do we forget we lost to the Packers by 10, who the Pats shut out 35-0 at Green Bay? Lets focus on the Lions....
 
LOL yeah. Cuz you focusing on one game at a time is really going to help the Miami Dolphins professional football players win on Thursday.

Please. Let any fan focus on whatever he wants to focus on. As long as the players take it one game at a time it doesn't amount to a hill of beans what fans on this site focus on.

Argee 100% us focusing on one game at a time does us nothing but a boring site. Draft and randy moss are just fun to talk about

Ok, i guess i will just muddle past all the, is "zack and Jt coming back next year", and the "we will win the afc east" and the "do you think we should sign randy moss" threads. No big deal to each their own i guess.
I dont want to smash all topics us fans like to wonder about, it just seems pointless to me to look so far into the future. But I have to remember, that is just my opinion...your right, and i am sorry for this thread, mods please delete it.
 
Listen now: It does not matter what the fans do. This would be a good speech for coach Saban, but we have no effect on the games man. If we want to talk about our matchup in Foxboro in 2015, who cares?
 
The team has no choice but to focus on one game at a time after being in a 1-6 hole. Very little margin for error. The defense is carrying us for sure and as long as the passing game is efficient and Joey does not lose games for us with INTs and mistakes - and so far he hasn't- there is something to build on.

But one thing for sure this team will not get away with stuff like -3 yards rushing yet win a game week in and week out. The Lions on turkey day is a good test. Instead of playing down to a struggling team they better bring the A game against an offense with a dangerous receiver in Williams and a team that has absolutely nothing to lose.

Its funny you say we have no effect on the games. As a kid I used to think if I wore a certian shirt, or said my prayers...or even if my mom watched the game...it had a DEFINITE effect on the games. Till this day man, my mom is a jinx...I swear by it, Miami is like 0-37 if she watches more than 5 minutes of live action. I still believe that one.
 
The way I see it is we have to talk about all the different playoff scenerios now because if we lose another game or two all were going to be talking about is the draft so we need to take advantage of our 3 game win streak and ride it out go phins

Well I did start wearing my old Dolphins shirt the day of the Chicago game and I have won it each game day since. I will continue to wear it until it proves unsuccessful.

Well. I kinda hate it too when people start talking about playoffs and we're not even at .500. I't really kinda of annoying I mean the worst record on the AFC east and I think theres a thread about winning the title. It really gets worst in the offseason cause there's very little to talk about so people make really ridiculous threads. I think there was a sign Peyton Manning a couple of years ago. There was a move zack thomas to safety. I guess what we should do is NOT REPLY. Really think about it. you log-on to finheaven and you see a couple of threads that sound absurd to you, don't write stuff like take it easy, thats absurd. Just don't write. in about 20 minutes another 20 threads will push that one down and it is no longer a discussion topic. The person will get frustrated and write the same thing again butn eventaully theyll get tired.
 
I think it's just a bit silly to do breakdowns of games that are more than a week away. So many variables can take place.
That said; Might as well think ahead, it's what makes
sports so compelling.
