Which alltime Miami players come to mind:

Overachievers - Crash Jensen, Zach Thomas, Earl Morrall (hey, any backup QB who kept the undefeated streak alive for ten games overachieved imo), Bernie Parmalee, Mark Higgs, Tony Nathan, Bob Kuechenberg, Don Strock (not good enough to start, but sure was great in relief), Tony Paige, Larry Izzo.

Underachievers - Bobby Humphrey, Sammie Smith (ironic that these two were traded for one another), Ferrell Edmunds, James Pruitt, Lawrence Phillips, Yatil Green, Ray Lucas, Eric Kumerow, John Bosa, Billy Milner, Paul Lankford and William Judson (I put them together because they were both equally terrible...I can`t believe they started at CB for so long).

I know there`s lots I`m forgetting, but it`s a start.

There are certainly more overachievers to be listed...

Don Nottingham
Tommy Vigorito
The Blackwood Boys
Bud Brown
To some extent Lamar Smith
I will think of others. However, there have been many more underachievers as well: John Avery(more of Jimmy's picks in the draft than you might think on both sides of the ball), and Jackie Shipp come to mind immediately.

I would not consider Zach an overachiever, he will be a ring on honor and most likely Hall of Fame LB

Not sure how you guys feel about him as an over or underachiever for us BUT

OJ Mcduffie? I always liked the guy

He's an over achiever because coming out of college no-one expected anything like this, everyone said he was to small and couldnt make it in the NFL

An undersized 5th round draft pick possibly going to the HOF is not overachieving?

I'm going to second Orande Gadsden. He was sooooo slow, but caught so many long balls.

A few more.

Hugh Green underachieved here when we signed him from TB, but his knees were shot by then.
AJ Feeley underachieved, but people will disagree because he beat NE in a meaningless Monday night game.
Cecil Collins I`d say underachieved, one very solid season, but what a waste of talent. He should still be in the league.
Probably to early to declare Vernon Carey an underachiever, but he might have Billy Milner written all over him.
Randall Hill showed some flashes in his two stints here, but he definitely wasn`t worth the first round pick we used on him.

Randy McMichael=underachiever

I guess you could say Marino overachieved. No one is ever expected to put up numbers like he did. So in a sense, he overachieved. Right?

TONY F. MARTIN - Worthless waste of cap space Underachiever

Ray F. Lucas - Not a TRUE underachiever in that he failed to live up to his talent - he simply had no talent at QB.

Over acheiver; Howard Twilley. Under acheiver; Delvin Williams
