Almost a Three way trade with Saints and Giants

Wow interesting indeed... I'd prefer the Skins 2nd and 6th than the Saints 2nd and 5th.

Well, assuming the 3 way trade would have went though, we could have ended up with the Skins 2nd and Saints 5th.

Seems this has legs, because its now being reported Shockey has been traded to the Saints for a 2 and a 5.

That doesnt make sense... the trade involved us, the saints and the giants. How would we have gotten the skins 2nd?

He would have went to the Giants not the Redskins. We would have received the Giants 2nd rounder.

Right, so

Saints would have gotten Shockey
NY would have gotten get Taylor
Miami would get Saints 2nd & 5th.

What i was asking is, what would you prefer? Saints 2 & 5 or Skins 2 & 6?

Everybody was wondering why the deal got so fast. This three way deal has to make you wonder if this made the Redskins complete the deal so quickly.

I hate to see Shockey traded. He was such a fan favorite in Giants camp at Albany, by far the most fan-friendly player, signing autographs for 20 minutes after each session and making a game of it. No wonder seemingly more than half the fans of all ages were sporting #80 jerseys.

The Giants have out thought this. It's understandable for fans to over react with nonsense based on a few outcomes that the team is better off without him. A front office is supposed to know better. Now they'll find out otherwise. You don't give up on a special talent at that age. The defense won that Super Bowl more than the offense or any change at the TE position.

I'm willing to bet Taylor would have rather that scenario worked out as well... I have a feeling he would have been happier in NY than Washington, given their Super Bowl aspirations and the media market.
