Alex Marvez, of the Sun-Sentinel, reports the Miami Dolphins will soon release S Trent Gamble. The move will clear about $485,000 in cap space, but Gamble's agent, Brett Tessler, said Gamble plans to file an injury protection claim that would guarantee him $250,000 for next season. The claim money will not count against the salary cap.
 
Although i do agree he was a good player, he was injured most of the time.
 
Gamble rocked. When he played you could count on him leveling someone or at least making a sure tackle. He will be missed.
 
Yeah the dukes of hazzard are no more. Gamble and McGarrehan (sp?) we great players on our special teams. I wouldn't be surprised to see our coverage teams drop off this year because of them being gone along with some others.
 
Clump says it will only save $255,000 because of the Top 51 rule.
 
Everything we can save is good, but we'll still have to get some guys in here to replace the ones that are gone. We'll need to rookie free agents to make the team imo.
