I'm thinking the ones with less experience will be open. It's a career promotion / resume building at the end.

But I'd prefer someone who comes from a now stable organization and helped built a winner. Someone who was part or a succesful rebuilding project already.

I do know he's older now.....not a big deal for a GM but I hope we'll talk to at least 6 or 7 guys before we make a decision

Again, I don’t know enough about Highsmith to be in or out on him. I just hope we make the right call.

The good thing on his resume is that those organization drafted Baker Mayfield, Jordan Love, and Drake Maye while he was with them. When Baker was drafted he was Vice President of Player Personnel with the Browns, so he was highly involved with that decision. That was 7 years ago however. Now he is some kind of executive with NE. They had decent to good drafts the last two season while he was there.
I would check his pulse for Super Bowl, and if he has a winning or outdated philosophy. Definitely worthy of an interview.
