If you had the power to change only one of the following events which affected the Miami Dolphins, which would it be?

1) RB Larry Csonka, FB Jim Kiick, and WR Paul Warfield reject the World Football League's offer and remain with the Miami Dolphins.

2) The Houston Gamblers, with Jim Kelly, of the USFL are taken into the NFL as an expansion team.

3) Rather than trading Anthony Carter to the Minnesota Vikings after the USFL folded, Don Shula instead decides to add him to an already potent WR group that features the Marks Brothers.

4) Huizinga hires the less flashy Tony Dungy instead of Jimmy Johnson as Shula's replacement.

I thought that Dungy was a better choice than Wanny but at the time, I would have chosen JJ over Tony Dungy

For the choices offered, I would (hands down) have rather seen Csonka and crew stay in the Dolphins backfield.

1st one.

How special could have the Dolphins been in the 70's? I really don't think we could have over taken the Steelers, but I would have love to at least had a chance.

Based on the choices given...the first one. But if I had the power to influence events, I would not have allowed Jimmy Johnson to hire Dave W.

# 1 with me. You have to believe that there was at least one more SB win, perhaps more with that group.

Till my death I will alway's be haunted by that very question. I had alot of loyal Pitt fan's for friend's in those day's and I think we could have shut them up then if the big three had not left. I alway's blamed robbie for that.

Definitely number 1. However, if your list included Olividatti never being hired by the Dolpins, I would have chosen that.

#4. Maybe we could have gotten one more good year out of Marino....Or maybe Dungy would have gotten a good RB in the 1st round vs trading down all the picks. Man...that could have gotten a ring for Marino....Just maybe.

I would have to agree with you on that one.I alway's thought he was one of shula's biggest mistake's.His prevent defense only prevented us from winning.
