Passing on Brady Quinn to take Tedd Ginn Jr. Is border line insane if you are the Miami Dolphins at #9 this year...
Similar to how passing on Drew Brees for Daunte Culpepper was border line insane...
Similar to how passing on Drew Brees for JAMAR FLETCHER was border line insane...
Similar to how passing on Anquan Boldin for Eddie Moore was border line insane...
Similar to how GETTING EVERY QUARTERBACK WE HAVE GOTTEN SINCE MARINO AND IN EVERY WAY WE HAVE GOTTEN THEM has been border line insane!
I'm sorry but I refuse to be an optimist and I refuse to buy into this Bull that these jerks in the front office feed us. There is no excuse for passing on Quinn for a fast punt returner who can sometimes play reciever.
This is a joke, and as much of a die hard fan as I am, this is ridiculous. I could have done a better job of making the draft picks the last 10 years, and I wish I could have, because we would have certainly won a lot more games.
I hope these guys prove me wrong, but with the way the draft looks, we probably won't win 7 games this year. Pass up on the future of the quarterback position (which we need so desperately) FOR A PUNT RETURNER WHO HASNT PROVEN HIMSELF AS A RECIEVER AT ALL!!!!

dude i would have liked quinn but obviously the coaches thought different. what i think is ******ed is taking a friend of cams family whos been wearing a cast since the gaytors ohio state game.
 
if brady was that good, he wouldn't have been passed by so many teams after us. what if he turns out like joey harrington????


with ted ginn we know what were getting. someone who is gonna score TOUCHDOWNS this season.

with brady quinn, and his un-gifted arm, he could turn out just like another Joey harrington. why is everyone here so high on brady... he throws a wobbly ball and honestly his throws really dont impress me at all...

what on earth are you talking about


i guess he can run well in a cast, cuz he ran a 4.37 less than 2 weeks ago.
 
If youre going to pass on Quinn why not one of the Dwaynes?
Why not Meachem?
Why not Okoye?
Why not Revis?
Why not Hall?
We had to take this flash in the pan jerk that translates to little more than a good punt returner in the NFL??? Not to mention, THE LAST THING WE NEED IS ANOTHER ****ING FAST RECIEVER RIDDLED WITH DROPS!

WHAT HAS QUINN DONE TO WARRANT GOING AT NINE!?!?!?!? You so called experts are all killing the organization for not taking someone who almost fell out of the first round. Explain to me the hype of Brady Quinn...PLEASE. And dont feed me any reworded Mel Kiper crap, you tell me why Brady Quinn is your savior.

what did he run at the combine that doesnt have a friend of yours and a stopwatch timing you? what was his vertical leap? what was his bench press? what was his shuttle run?

if you compare the personal workouts to the combine the guys get faster on their pro days, usually about 2/10s of a second (see jarret). did he do standing long jump?

Yeah, we got an equally rated QB, higher rated by some teams, and a higher rated WR, with better speed. Id want to strangle my coach and GM too. :rolleyes2
 
Plus, has anyone thought of the fact that Jon Beck has never played against any real competition in his entire college career???
I like the picks of Satele and Booker but the first two are atrocious and they will hurt us for years to come. And We want to compete with the Pats???
hahahaha.... Never with this draft philosophy.

i honestly dont see how brady quinn is any better than beck...

like some were saying, the name "brady" helps his popularity, it sounds weird but it does. he's also picture-friendly and definitely sold himself up to the draft.

pretty funny how the NFL teams saw him a little differently. he even had to leave the green room because he wasnt picked anywhere close to where he thought he would be.
 
An equally rated reciever?
Nobody with a brain had Ginn rated anywhere near as high as Jarrett, Bowe, or Meachem as a RECIEVER.
Ginn is a huge reach at 9 and we took him because he is a fast man who can return kicks and occassionally play reciever. If you ask me, that is nonsense.
 
apparently we arent the only ones who didnt like quinn seeing as he fell

the fact is recievers like jarret are farily common in the NFL.... big possession guy who will get you a lot of tough first downs.... we have one his name is chris chambers and if he didnt drop so many he'd be elite.

how many people in the NFL are similar to Ginn??? maybe hester.. and hall.. but after that i can't see any better return-guys
 
I guarantee you

Quinn will be a quality quarterback
Jarrett will be a great reciever

and wer'e stuck with a punt returner (Ginn)
and at best a quality backup (Beck)

have fun being optimistic, but I actually knew something about this draft so I will be realistic

I love how pessimists bash optimists for being optimistic but they're only being "realistic"...

Seriously, I was shocked about Quinn being passed up, but since then I've come to realize that he was passed up by 20 other teams.

...and his former QB coach at Notre Dame is now on the Dolphins' staff and we still passed on him...

Makes me think the FO knows something we don't...

Doesn't take an "overly optimistic idiot" to see that...
