I really wish they would just pay tribute to that incredible Madison Surtain tandem we had for so long, it would be so much fun and bring back a whole lot of memories!
 
Nope. Madison and Surtain, are, at last known sighting, not Dolphins anymore. While they were great Miami corners, who says one of these guys might not be better? Let them take thier numbers and burn them into Dolphins lore is what I say.
 
ya i guess youre right but i just truly loved those guys man, madison was so entertaining with all his mouthing off and dancing and surtain was just so well rounded as a corner...i love marino to death but those two are very close in the race for my alltime favorite dolphins
 
You wouldnt give 13 to Pat White or Henne would you??? I know its kinda of an extreme as he is the best player in Dolphin history but you get my point.
 
Well seeing as there are only so many numbers and with some of them retired. And while Madison and Surtain were good we have had many good corners, safetys etc. So yeah you might be a minority on this. I just want them to play and prove they were worth being picked .

who cares? those two didn't bring any titles to miami.
 
I don't get too caught up in what numbers the players ar wearing. All I care about is getting a WIN.
 
Rather see them produce and not bust out.
 
Honestly, they both disappeared in the big games. They were good, but not legends.
 
too bad ronnie is already #23 and last i check not many players are willing to give up a number theyve had for years. i loved surtain and madison too but come on its only a jersey number
 
I was as big a fan of Madison, and surtain as the next guy. Still wear the jersies from time to time. However like others here I would rather see Davis, and Smith set their own mark using their own numbers. Besides I want Ronnie to carry on the great 23 tradition.
