Am I the only one that thinks that Lex Hillard and Chad Henne did not have that bad a game? Did they play great? No.

Take away the fumble and I think that Hillard actually had a better game than RB. Also, newsflash - Lex is not the first player to fumble the ball and he will not be the last. Walter Payton, one of the greatest RBs to ever play the game, had 86 in his career. Hell, he even had 10 in his second year. I am more concerned with what happens afterward. Lex is going to be a good player.

Chad Henne was not as accurate as one would hope, but he did not have a terrible game. I've seen Peyton make the same errant throw for an int. that Chad did. Could he had done better? Yes. But I have definitely seen players play worse games.

You're not the only one, but many people like to overreact to one game. So, I just let them vent it out. As a matter of fact, I think Henne is having a pretty good pre-season, as is Hilliard. Henne is still learning and people are acting like he's a 5 year vet still making those mistakes. If he doesn't make those mistakes, he won't learn from them. I'd be more worried if he came out and threw another interception, but he wasn't broken by the play. Let him learn some more.

i dont know about the henne part. he was pretty horribe last night. is it the end of the world for him? no, but there was definately nothing good about it. stats are not everything but there is no way to put a good twist on...2-8 55yds and 1 int. plus one completion was for 52 and mostly yac. plus he was sacked what 4 times? on most of the sacks he had time to get rid of the ball also. its not even like the incompletions were dropped balls, most were badly thrown balls. hell there was even one play he threw the ball to the ground within the first couple seconds before the play even developed. im not one that likes to bash any dolphin but im calling it how i seen it.

Nope not at all

Unfortunately for Hilliard, it's not good if you fumble the ball when you are one of the guys on the bubble. He HAS had a good preseason but I still feel pretty strongly that he won't make the final roster. Of course, I could be wrong. Ronnie is a lock and so is Ricky unless they get a wild hair to trade him, which I highly doubt. Cobbs is a good special teamer and a coach's favorite so unless they keep 4 backs PLUS a fullback, Lex may have hurt himself because he is fighting for a job. If Ronnie Brown fumbles that ball, he doesn't have to worry.

Hilliard didn't play bad at all.

Henne looked like the dog poo that I stepped in last week in my back yard.

The worst part about the forum sometimes, is that if Henne and Hilliard have great games in the last pre-season game, it's back to trade Ricky and Henne in 2010 threads.

Henne and Hilliard POSSIBLY playing well against NO second and third team defense shouldn't sway anyone's opinion, but I'm sure it will. I guess that's what makes this fun though, everyone has thier own opinion.

Haven't you seen the people on this forum?

As a thread earlier specified, it's kind of a good idea to change the url to kneejerkreactions.com. I mean, one game, one series, one quarter...people change their minds at an amazing rate here. If in the next game Henne looks down every receiver, he'll be called the future by many calling him a bust right now.

It's how people are some times, but it's a little overboard when many players had horrid performances in this 1 game.

Not worried at all about Henne. Henne was running for his life all game long. I'm more worried about the inconsistent O-Line play than anything.

Henne will be fine in time. One bad preseason game is not the end of the world, despite what some will try and tell you. I'm more worried about the run blocking. After all, isn't running the football supposed to be the STRENGTH of this team?

No, the strength of this team is our fight song.

yes you are the only one, Henne shouldn't be considered a franchise QB and of course the trade Ricky and start Lex crowd can give their heads a shake.
