While I believe that a vanilla, mistake-free offense could have stolen a win today, let's not kid ourselves ... this wasn't a Super Bowl team. Still, this season was a huge success, and I enjoyed (nearly) every minute of it. Today, the better team won.
But that all being said, where do we go from here? What moves have to be made this off-season in order to take another giant step forward? Who should be retained? Drafted? Signed? I'm more interested these type of posts, rather than those of the venting/blaming variety.
Personally, I'd love to see the team continue to build the offensive line through the draft. The additions of Long (via the draft) and Smiley (via FA) were huge, and it was unfortunately we couldn't stay healthy up front all year long. I also think we need a big-time WR and a stellar defensive play-maker or two (Suggs, anyone?). The second-rounder obtained in the trade for Jason Taylor should certainly come in handy.
Thoughts?
