Well to start off, disappointment and embarrassment just about sum up last night. Thus prompting the question, what the hell just happened?

O-Line = They made significant steps in the Tampa Bay game... what the hell happened? They fell apart various times... Jeno James got blown up by some rookie (who beat him to the inside), there were like 1-2 sacks... and the running game, with the exception of about 2 runs (1 from Ricky, 1 from Ronnie) was reminiscent of the late Wanny era. Why? Does anyone have any ideas?

QB = Perhaps the biggest disappointment. BOTH of these sad backups proved that they choke huge under pressure: Gus "whiner" Frerrote trying to hold on the starting position and A.J. "trying to make a statement."

Sage is not the answer either... he just, well his release is pretty slow, he is also new to the offense, and just doesn't have the tools to be more then a backup.

At this point, I would start Frerrote, but we are in for a LOOOOONGGGG season.

RB's = Ronnie has power, I'll tell you that much, and Ricky is just a stud.
FB = He performed well, make some decent blocks.

Our Defense played decent... I am not really worried about it.

But seriously... we had the same lineup during the first part of the game as we did in the Tampa one... what do you guys think was the cause for this abysmal performance? :shakeno:

We couldn't play Tampa again?

Game planning. The coaches made a point to game plan for the Tampa game and that was pretty much it.

That would work for the first drive in the Bucs game, but what happened to the rest of that game? We were fortunate to win that game.

We play Tampa for real this year.

I doubt Saban wanted to show them anything he might want to use when it REALLY COUNTS...

People on here really take these games very seriously, I don't think they played all that bad. Feeley played horribly and Jeno got abused on that play by a rookie, but other than that....

I think we will beat Denver, now about the rest of the games. :(  :shakeno:

Oh there was no gameplan for this game??

I was not aware of that, I thought they would game plan for the last two preseason games.

That is a big piece of it... but hopefully consistency will be the key.
Yea Denver is gonna be a headache and a half... Champ Bailey is gonna make our stooge qb regret the moment he was conceived....

With that logic, all we showed from our offense was the first drive? Then went back into hiding the rest of the game?
I realize that we haven't showed all of our cards yet, but a little iprovement every game would be really nice.
