Hi guys.
I wanted to post an appeal to all of our members here Re. “how” we handle our Forum discussions.

The threads are all valuable, as are our varied opinions. But too often we start getting personal and attacking while debating. It has to stop.

We all love our Miami Dolphins, so let’s debate! But let’s also refrain from comments such as...”you obviously don’t know the first thing about football”.... “that’s stupid”... “this thread is garbage”...”drivel”...etc etc. It gets PERSONAL.

Please brothers (I have been guilty myself), let’s debate and challenge ideas! But let’s keep the brotherly love flowing here, and let’s find a way to support each other while often disagreeing.

FINS UP!!

You obviously don’t know the first thing about finheaven (Its personal)... this is the definition of stupid & last but not least , this thread is garbage

But seriously though...I agree with you 100%. There are many who only know attack mode but I use the very effective MUTE/IGNORE mode to weed them out.

Yes the ignore feature works well.

My favorite is “Thank god you’re not the GM”
LMAO

What if it truly is a garbage thread though lol

But your point is a good one, the mods try to do their best to keep
everyone on track but eventually things will always get heated

I left a smaller Dolphins message board for this exact reason. This board is miles better than my previous one. So I couldn't agree more with the OP.

The Dolphins franchise doesnt exactly make it easy for us to all get behind a commen agenda, so I understand why these things happen.

At the end of the day none of us have any say on whatever the team does anyway. People will vent here, it's going to happen but yes, no need for personal attacks because like I said, nobody here gets to make any decisions.

Can you imagine what a Jets fan forum is like?? Lol. I should troll it a bit and see the carnage

I think the problem lies with people who have an opinion which sides with a player or coach. We are allowed on the site to demean and hurl all sorts of vulgarities and innuendo at those players or coaches and poster's who find their identity aligning with such take offense.

We should be respectful of all of brothers, players, and coaches. Most of us have been fans of the team longer than many in the organization. If you always treat one another like you would treat a family member, then it is all good.
May you all be surrounded by family and friends this holiday season! Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and Happy Holidays!
John
