An interesting option

I
n the Alex Marvez interview they discuss Miami's situation and at the end Irvin has some thoughts on who our next coach should be.

The main point is to not go back to a Cowher or old school coach who is basicly what we have now.

He suggest Rob Chudzinsky the offensive coordinater at Carolina who has taken a rookie QB and put him in position to be great. Rob was a tight end at the U of M and also OC at SanDiego with Rivers. The UM connection could even help attendence.

I know our last encounter with a San Diego OC was a disaster but who knows.

I do not necessarily precribe to this view and still would prefer Cowher but maybe they have a point about looking to the future and not the past.

Dave Hyde also talks about the coaching situation.

Thoughts or other out of the box candidates ?

I still want Gruden. He is a combination of old school and young enough to be innovative.

Gruden"s kids is a senior in high school now...I think he might be a viable option...and a great choice. I also think the time away from coaching might actaully make Gruden even bettter than he was before.

Ross will want a big name/sexy/buzz worthy type hire. That is why I still think Cowher, Gruden or Fisher will be the most likely route.

I know your right about Ross and my quess is he already has his shopping list ready.
The conversation was ineresting to me as was Marino's and Dave Hyde who were also on there.

Pass.

He was OC in Cleveland in 2008 where Cleveland was tied for last in the league for touchdowns...He was replaced by Daboll...

I'm not opposed to it, but I think Jon Gruden will get the job. He just screams to me as a Stephen Ross type of hire.

maybe ross will go out and get the best coach in college football. Introducing Nick Saban next dolphin coach lol
